We stayed at the Barcelo Royal Hideaway – Gran Palacio de Gran Vía for four nights and were genuinely impressed from the moment we arrived. Although it’s set within a beautifully converted former bank building right in the centre of Granada, the atmosphere inside is remarkably serene and calm — a real contrast to the lively streets outside. The staff were consistently warm, welcoming, and helpful, striking that ideal balance of professionalism and friendliness. Our room was beautifully appointed, and one particularly thoughtful touch was the nightly turndown service, where we were offered a choice of fragrances to scent the room. It added a quiet sense of luxury that felt both personal and memorable. The rooftop terrace bar is a standout feature, offering spectacular views of the Alhambra — a perfect place to unwind at the end of the day. The hotel’s location couldn’t be better: almost opposite the cathedral and just steps from shops, cafés, and restaurants, making it easy to explore the city on foot. Overall, this is a refined, peaceful base for discovering Granada, with excellent service and some truly special touches. We would happily stay again.

I gave this hotel a well deserved 5 stars. From the attentiveness and politeness of the staff, to the incredibly clean facilities it is arguably the best hotel in Granada. The rooms are beautiful, clean and modern. The breakfast is phenomenal and the rooftop bar is beautiful. Their gym has a nice pool and a turkish steam bath. Strongly recommend this hotel to couples, families and people here on business as well.

The hotel is ideally located right in the city centre, making it very convenient for exploring everything on foot. The service was excellent, and the staff were welcoming and attentive. We did not dine at the hotel, as the restaurant did not seem particularly suited to what we were looking for. Ho… lisää

The hotel is ideally located right in the city centre, making it very convenient for exploring everything on foot. The service was excellent, and the staff were welcoming and attentive. We did not dine at the hotel, as the restaurant did not seem particularly suited to what we were looking for. However, the rooftop is a real highlight, with a wonderful atmosphere and a magnificent view of the Alcázar. I highly recommend this hotel.
