“Not up to scratch. ”

When we arrived in the room, my friend found a hair in her bed. We were changed room but without balcony The original room had the smallest tv ever. Bedsheets are not ironed, confirmed by staff. 2 wooden hangers, all the others are the metal ones you get free from the dry cleaners. Frames… lisää

When we arrived in the room, my friend found a hair in her bed. We were changed room but without balcony The original room had the smallest tv ever. Bedsheets are not ironed, confirmed by staff. 2 wooden hangers, all the others are the metal ones you get free from the dry cleaners. Frames are mirror were dirty. No kettle in the room or available from reception. Soaps are in small sachets (such as ketchup ones). You can hear the noise from outside, so not well insulated. Breakfast is very poor. Coffee tastes like black water, not much to choose from. We were offered coffee OR juice. We don’t eat bananas so asked to have other fruit with the pancakes and were given 2 strawberries instead. The restaurant is located at the entrance outdoor and at breakfast time you eat al fresco- so not a pleasant temperature. The rooms are very spacious and staff very friendly and try to help. We have travelled around Guatemala and for this price, the hotel ( more like an aparthotel ) needs to improve.

“Not so good”

We have stayed at Residencia del Sol several times I past years. The bathrooms are getting shabby and need an overhaul. Mold in the tub. Also the restaurant is not the same since Eduardo left. The meals and service were sub standard. I've always like staying here but will probably stay elsewhere.

Located in a commercial area which appears to be safe during the day (we only went out by taxi at night so can't comment about the safety of walking on nearby streets after dark). The hotel is clean and our tile-floor room large with comfortable beds. Our room had a large balcony with beautiful tree beyond. The bathroom has dated fixtures. The included breakfast is basic but fine and personnel are friendly and helpful.

No dough about it,this hotel,don't have internet-based or room.Also the service was bad very bad.I' never go to this place.I would like to get good services because is good pay to make.The only good there was room.Clean,safe.

I moved for a night to the hotel from another in the city centre due to overbooking. The hotel is located outside of the more secure central locations making night time venturing un advisable. Itself the hotel is clean but dated, the rooms are average but the beds are comfortable. The staff are very friendly and extremely helpfully. The restaurant has limited options and no menu so you must speak Spanish. It's is also located outside next to the road. The room price is too high for the facilities provided.
