We arrived around check in time on Tuesday February 10th, for a 2 night stay. This hotel was part of our Gate 1 tour. The hotel grounds were beautiful. Our room was in the 200 building, lower level. Our room looked good, and smelled good. It was very spacious. It had a great view overlooking the water. Everything worked well. The beds were comfortable. It was very quiet. Everyone we met from the hotel was very nice. They had a very nice bar and restaurant area, and even a resident crocodile, hanging out in the water just below the deck. The pool area looked great too. Breakfast was delicious. Many options. They have a couple of hiking trails on the property, and a trail is marked for bicycles. We did hike the monkey trail, just before nightfall. We did get to hear, and see some Howler monkeys towards the end of our hike. We had a great visit. I would love to return.

“A few days in Guatemala”

Stunning views at this beautiful resort. Ideal for excursions to Mayan sights, including Tikal and dinner in Flores. Don't miss the resident crocodile. She sits right under the porch by a sign warning of crocodiles.

I would recommend a stay here on a visit to Tikal, it’s a very pleasant resort with well appointed rooms,beds a little hard. Great service, nice swimming pools, lovely garden areas. The food was tasty.

Ok hotel. Good as a base from Tikal but nothing else around here (we went to Flores as the nearest town - very small and ok for an afternoon but £30 return taxi). Rooms are basic. Nice setting by the lake but limited seating if you want to quietly read a book. Small pool with a few kids enjoying… lisää

Nice setting by the lake but limited seating if you want to quietly read a book. Small pool with a few kids enjoying, got quite noisy. Captive to eat here given limited local options. That said breakfast was a buffet and reasonable, and all day menu was broad and not expensive. It also had vegetarian options. Not sure of standard of other hotels round here if you are visiting Tikal. This is ok for that purpose but we had a spare day here and I’d rather had carried on our trip elsewhere.
