We are so glad we chose to stay at this property. The price is right for the experience. Here is a list of my "Whys" that you should consider booking this property: 1. How often do you get to stay in a Castle? 2. The staff was not only professionally helpful, they truly cared about our entire experience. They were even concerned about our missed stay the prior year when my husband was diagnosed with cancer. Compassion was a wonderful bonus. 3. It's a great location to slow down and rest before jaunting on your next adventure. 4. It was peaceful, clean, and opulent. 5. Did I mention how wonderful the staff is? 6. The dinner in the restaurant was divine. Don't bother to eat anywhere else. Kick back and enjoy the hotel and the fine dining experience here. 7. The breakfast buffet had ample food and a nice variety. 8. Spending time in a historic building is always a nice change. 9. The grounds around the property are beautiful. 10. Even if you are on a budget, splurge a little, and stay here. I promise you won't regret it. 11. Kindness goes a long way in this day and time. I can not express how blessed we were to meet such a beautiful staff. You helped create a beautiful memory that we will not forget. Thank you.

“Great venue and Classy staff”

Attended for a wedding purpose. Venue is rather magnificent and definitely breath taking monumental building, therefore if you are into that then you would love it. Attended for a wedding purpose. Venue is rather magnificent and definitely breath taking monumental building, therefore if you are into that then you would love it. Spacious and clean, rooms have the same impression and beds are very comfortable. Cleanliness is really good, food generally is nice specially when served for 100 people therefore bravo to the kitchen staff. Now if you ask me what is the nicest thing over there or what would I go back, I would tell you the STAFF!!! Great service, immaculate standards and wonderful welcome attitude and I envy the venue for having such a wonderful staff without exception. Spacious parking and a lot of outdoor space so highly recommended

Hotel building and surroundings are lovely. Room was clean an cozy with a very nice view. Very nice and helpful personnel. Considering the Covid situation, the hotel has applied high standard of safety and social distancing. Breakfast takes place on a dedicated table with all breakfast ready to be enjoyed. We really appreciated not having to bump into people and queuing for food at a buffet. The restaurant Sofie was amazing. Eating in the garden with a view on a large pond made it special. Great staff, which puts great care in the Service. Food on the menu is also delicate and very tasty. We’ve had 1 lunch and 2 dinners over there. Enjoyed every single bite. Wine list is also well thought through to go along with the food. If you go there we recommend you rent bikes directly at the property which will complete the experience as it is great to take a ride to the sea side (the Netherlands are overall flat but consider there are up and downhills section to go to the sea). The staff nicely handed over a map of the surroundings. Please consider that there is no elevator hence if you carry heavy luggage be ready to lift them up to the 3rd floor (if your room is up there). Also, though the rooms with earplugs, the building is ancient hence the walls are thin (we are woken up at 2am by our neighbors night talks and doors shutting). As always it depends on people’s education, can’t blame the hotel for this but can be a challenge if you have light sleep.
