“Walk to Keukenhof Gardens!”

Close enough to walk to Keukenhof Gardens was the reason we chose this place. We stayed in a duplex room since it had a washer (cost 5 euros to use) and we thought we could use it after 2 weeks in Scotland before coming to see Keukenhof Gardens. (Beautiful!) Close enough to walk to Keukenhof Gardens was the reason we chose this place. We stayed in a duplex room since it had a washer (cost 5 euros to use) and we thought we could use it after 2 weeks in Scotland before coming to see Keukenhof Gardens. (Beautiful!) Spiral staircase going up to room. Once in the room there was a very steep staircase to the bedroom and bathroom. Not easy with heavy luggage. The rooms were good sized but the extra staircase to the bedroom/bath was inconvenient. Breakfast was nothing special at all and I would not pay extra for it. Overall a basic hotel in a charming area of Lisse. Beware you must get a digital key if you are checking in after 5 pm or you will not be able to even get in the front door. We did this, but luckily someone was still at the desk when we arrived at 5:30. The front door digital key worked but our room key did not! The desk person gave us an actual key for us to use. Don't know what we would have done if she hadn't still been at the desk! The plus is that there were several good restaurants within easy walking distance, the gardens were a 15 minute walk and parking was free!
