“Droompark de Molengroet Camping”

We stayed in one of the cabins on the camping ground sleeping 6 people. The cabins are excellent, this is the second time around we stayed there. We stayed in one of the cabins on the camping ground sleeping 6 people. The cabins are excellent, this is the second time around we stayed there. We did not stay at the the Hotel, we like our private lifestyle. The cabin was well stocked with everything we need, including dishwasher, combination oven and microwave. We had 3 bedrooms, of which one had a bunk bed for the boys. We stayed for 2 weeks and had a great time. The accommodations at the park for the kids are great, playground, Jumping cushion, soccer field, table tennis, you can also rent bikes and skelters. Thers is also a pool, which the kids used, the elders from Florida could not handle the water although heated (70 degrees F).

“Amazing breakfast”

The hotel is in the middle of nowhere, the check in is in theory open until 10PM but I was lucky to call at 9PM saying that I was about to arrive and I hear "I'm about to leave I'll put the key in a locket so that you can reach it". The hotel is in the middle of nowhere, the check in is in theory open until 10PM but I was lucky to call at 9PM saying that I was about to arrive and I hear "I'm about to leave I'll put the key in a locket so that you can reach it". What would happen if I didn't call? I arrived at 9:30Pm and it was a sort of a ghost hotel with no information or a living soul. The room is basic but nice and clean, the only problem was that the heating system was off so it took a while to feel confortable. In the other hand it's really quiet and the breakfast is perfect.

“Quiet Except for the Birds”

This hotel is definitely off the beaten path. We chose it because it was close to the cities we wanted to visit in the area - Alkmaar, Volendam, Haarlem, Horn and Harlingen. This hotel is definitely off the beaten path. We chose it because it was close to the cities we wanted to visit in the area - Alkmaar, Volendam, Haarlem, Horn and Harlingen. It is very quiet except for the birds singing as early as 4:30 a.m. because the hotel is located by the woods. The restaurant offers delicious food at very reasonable prices. I love the appel pannenkoeken! The rooms are spartan, with the basic shower and toilet and no airconditioning (for the same reason that most Dutch houses do not have airconditioning - they do not get hot summers). Everything is clean.

“Basic but nice”

The hotel is on a camp site with swimming pool close to the hotel. It has approximately 15 rooms which are basic. Beds are good and rooms are large but bathroom facilities are very basic. Room is clean. Staff is friendly. The hotel restaurant is very good and has nice acceptable prices. The beaches… lisää

The hotel is on a camp site with swimming pool close to the hotel. It has approximately 15 rooms which are basic. Beds are good and rooms are large but bathroom facilities are very basic. Room is clean. Staff is friendly. The hotel restaurant is very good and has nice acceptable prices. The beaches of Bergen aan Zee are just a 30 minute drive away. Amsterdam is a 50 minutes drive along highway. Hotel is easy to find. Only remark is that the rooms are noisy. We could hear neighbors talking.
