The rooms and food are very good - but the real highlights are the activities! For those interested in a little exercise - the tours on the e-bikes are very good fun and are an amazing way to really enjoy the spectacular views. Also highly recommend the Gudampari Adventure Jeep Safari. To start with we were taken to several viewing points, including trekking through both part of the tea plantations where we were also able to try wild oranges, berries and guavas. Before getting to the jeeps we were also taken to a local spice garden where, for those who are interested, alongside an explanation of herbs (and seeing them growing) you can buy various spices and Ayurvedic medicines; local shops are also there to buy banana chips and other snacks. We then were taken to the spot where we got into the jeeps and where the real excitement began! Feeling like proper adventurers as we climbed the narrow off-road passes up the ghats in the jeep (bumpy at times) we reached a stunning viewpoint for sunset. From there we all admired the breathtaking views over the Kerala/Tamil Nadu border and were lucky enough to spot wild elephants in the distance admiring the sunset too! As night fell we then proceeded in the jeeps back through the jungle paths until we reached our camp where we all enjoyed some lemon-tea round a campfire and were able to watch the stars and moon. To end our experience we were all given fire torches and walked from the camp to our bus, which then took us back to the resort. A special thanks to our guide Elango for making our time in Munnar so memorable.
