My husband and I are from the US and visited India for the first time, spending three weeks traveling throughout Northern India—and Ranjit Svaasa was, without question, our favorite stay of the entire trip. We truly wished we could have stayed longer. The property is absolutely magical. Every detail feels intentional, with layers of history woven into each beautifully designed room. In the evenings, incense and candles are lit, creating a warm, grounding atmosphere that is instantly calming. Tucked away in a quiet, gated area, it feels like a peaceful sanctuary amidst the energy of Amritsar. Our room was incredibly spacious, with a comfortable sitting area, a lovely bedroom and bathroom, lots of big windows and multiple outdoor spaces that were perfect for slow mornings and quiet moments. The staff were exceptional—attentive, kind, and clear, without ever feeling overbearing. And the food—some of the best we had during our entire trip. The dinner menu, featuring family recipes passed down through generations, felt deeply special (and I believe it’s exclusively for guests, which makes it even more unique). We also experienced an Ayurvedic massage at their spa, which was deeply relaxing and another highlight of our stay. I’ve thought about this place often since leaving. Ranjit Svaasa is more than just a hotel, its an immersive cultural experience. The care, the history, and the energy make it truly unforgettable. I hope to go back.

Ranjit's Svaasa turned out to be a pleasant surprise. A cosy heritage boutique type of hotel, amidst the chaotic city, yet serene and homely , away from the hustle bustle of the city. The staff were great, affectionate , welcomed us with warmth. They always interacted with a pleasant positive and smiling attitude never failing to answer our queries and provide the things. The architecture and the interiors have an old world charm . Food was excellent (though we have to order in advance if we want to dine in). They communicate through whats app and sometimes thanks to the network issues we could not communicate properly. However, they made sure we get our preferred menu. We could even pick some mangoes from the small garden within the estate ! The food, environment and the staff made sure of living in a cosy home with the luxuries thrown in. However, service might be a little slow sometimes as it is a small establishment and minimal staff. Our entire trip in Amritsar was organized by our tour agent through Svaasa and it was very well coordianted . Neeraj our driver was very good , the guide Sandy, Mr Sandeep who accompanied us one day for Golden temple tour and Wagha border was extremely friendly and knowledgeable.Mr Thomas took us around for a heritage walk which was truly interesting and memorable as it helped us understand the history of the place and at the same time got a glimpse of local markets and life of people around!
