We had a meal here for my daughter's confirmation earlier this month and could not have been happier with it. The menu had a great selection, something to suit all tastes and ages. We also had a coeliac in our group, and he was so well taken care of. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. The service was also excellent. The hotel was very busy with confirmations, communions and a wedding, but you wouldn't have known it. The staff were so friendly and on the ball. One of the owners also made his way around the tables checking that everyone was ok, we thought this was a lovely personal touch. We would recommend the Woodlands to anyone looking for somewhere to host a special occasion. We will be back!

“Amazing”

Had our wedding on the 11th of April and just so delighted we chose the Woodlands. They took the stress out of everything and were so attentive on the day. Extremely family friendly also which is much appreciated with our 2 year old. Amazing. 10 out of 10

Where do I even begin with my praise and thanks to David and your amazing team for hosting our wedding. From the very first meeting with you David, you just made me feel so calm and excited for wedding planning. I was sold on the venue the minute you went through it all with us. I am such a family orientated person and knowing that your hotel prides itself on family just sold it even more for me. Nothing was ever too much of an ask for you and all your team, any questions I had were answered straight away, whether it be from you or from the reservations team or Mags, nothing was every too much to ask, even a year out from the wedding. Any and all requests were welcomed by you and the team and were executed to perfection. You run a tight ship and my god it runs smoothly so I take my hat off to you, an absolute credit to you. The day itself, well what can I say, the hotel staff from the breakfast area to the receptionists, to the housekeeping staff, every single person went above and beyond for us. When I was panicking about the timing, your calmness and the happy energy you have, filled the bridal suite and you put me right at ease - so for that I really thank you. The little touches - like walking a little in the door with the bridesmaids to set the walking pace, might be a little detail to you but for me and my bridesmaids it was truly a welcomed touch that also calmed the nerves of the girls. The room for the ceremony was everything and more than I could have dreamed of, having the choice of the décor you provide inhouse was again a welcomed addition. After we had greeted all our guests after the ceremony for you to close the doors and allowing us to have 10minutes to ourselves with drinks ready for us, it was exactly what we needed before the drinks reception. From that little touch to walking into the drinks reception and the girl behind the prosecco stand having a plate ready for us with all the food on it - I mean without that I wouldn't have had anything to eat at the drinks reception. The girls from Woody's waiting around the take the kids as we were running behind with photos and it not being an issue again just made everything run calmly and smoothly, please thank those girls. From you announcing us in for dinner, getting us to cut the cake and well everything from then on was just amazing. The food, the waiting staff - especially Monica - who made sure everything ran so smoothly for us all at the top table especially Cian & Grace. Everyone and I mean everyone of our guests, have not stopped raving about the food, how amazing every course was and how plentiful it was throughout the night. The dessert trolleys along with the Fitz & Chips food were a big, big hit, so they were great additions to our evening, thank you for suggesting these to us. The personalised plates for dessert I mean again I could go into every single detail because there were so many that blew me and the guests away. The bar staff played an absolute blinder on the day / night again nothing was too much to ask! Onto Day 2 at the Treehouse, this has had great feedback too, it was exactly what people needed. A nice big open area, Kevin McCarthy (thanks for the recommendation) was perfect for the area, and the food, everyone absolutely loved it. That was exactly the soakage some people needed lol. The bridal suite for us was perfect, the kids loved it and loved being about to stay with us - Grace the night before and both Cian and Grace for day 2. Thank you for making it available for us for the 3 nights, I didn't want to leave on the Tuesday!! Also everyone has been mentioning how comfortable the beds, the pillows the duvets were so again another detail that has had huge great feedback!! We will be regular visitors to your hotel and Treehouse area, as it now holds such a special place in our hearts. Thank you again Laura, Stephen, Cian & Grace

Fitzgerald’s Woodlands House Hotel is a truly wonderful place to stay, offering a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel at home from the moment you arrive. The hotel’s friendly, family-run feel really sets it apart, creating a genuine sense of care and attention that you experience throughout your stay. The staff are outstanding—consistently professional, approachable, and eager to help, whether it’s at reception, in the restaurants, or within the leisure facilities. Their kindness and efficiency make every interaction a pleasure. At Check in we were the last of 5/6 groups checking in however the next day the gentleman on reception addressed both myself and our 5 year old by name. A great touch. The facilities are excellent and cater perfectly to individuals, couples, and families. From the great Gym well equipped and clean, the pool was always warm and never too busy. The Spa is an excellent addition especially if your little people are in the wonderful Kids club. Food options are varied and cater for all taste and dining styles. With relaxed dining and more refined evening meals. The breakfast is a standout genuinely the best black pudding I have ever had in a hotel. Great amineties in the grounds from the walks, GAA pitch and the small kids farm. Overall, Fitzgerald’s Woodlands House Hotel combines exceptional service, fantastic facilities, and high-quality food with a warm, family-oriented atmosphere that all ready has us looking forward to our next stay
