Cabra Castle never fails to disappoint . From checking in to the the ever efficient Paula who knows us by name now 🤣 We returned here for our 1st wedding anniversary. Stayed in the wonderful courtyard superior room, immaculately clean. Mary from household was so lovely anc friendly Enjoyed a few drinks Al fresco . Joe behind the bar couldn’t have been more helpful and polite as I was on crutches, checked in to make sure I was alright, did I need a seat indoors…..and the Castle was very busy. Caitriona the bar manager is just an absolute gem who also couldn’t do enough Courtyard restaurant fabulous and before I had a chance to recognise Sam & Brenda we got a great welcome and a lovely dessert personalised with a happy anniversary greeting . Our wedding coordinator on our wedding was Linda who came up to say hello was just lovely . Overall a home from home experience… nothing is ever a problem. This Castle remains the most special place to us both on a personal level over the last year and we will continue to find often and stay over as usual for New Year’s Eve and indeed our anniversary. Please express our love to all the staff both seen and unseen for making our stay so wonderful Loved Maeve & Paul

“Birthday surprize”

My mum was celebrating her 81st birthday. After a walk in beautiful Dun a Rí forest park, myself, Mum, my husband, Dad and 5 kids decided to go for dinner in Cabra. My mum was celebrating her 81st birthday. After a walk in beautiful Dun a Rí forest park, myself, Mum, my husband, Dad and 5 kids decided to go for dinner in Cabra. Without a booking, the staff found us a large enough table so we could all sit together. Food was lovely, and service outstanding. Natalia served us and she quickly realised it was Mum's birthday and arrived out with a birthday plate and candle. (She also suggested the kids ice creams could be split - 2 portions between 5 kids, which was very much appreciated by parents dreading the sugar crash!) Overall a really lovely experience.

“A chance visit and a wonderful experience for both my wife and myself”

I brought my wife there as part of her 70's birthday celebrations. Having mentioned when booking the occasion, they went out of their way to make sure we celebrated in style. I brought my wife there as part of her 70's birthday celebrations. Having mentioned when booking the occasion, they went out of their way to make sure we celebrated in style. The room was beautiful and very spacious and extremely clean. A birthday card along with chocolates were waiting her there. After dinner and also at the afternoon tea, they presented her with a plate of treats for the birthday. We felt like royalty. The food on both days and the attention to detail was out of this world. It was so quite and peaceful and no noise. We will definitly return there again. And the cost of our stay was great value too.

“Relaxing Break”

Rooms fantastic, food fantastic and staff friendly and helpful...... could not recommend more for a relaxing break
