“A great hotel with helpful, friendly staff and nice food”

“Gracious Grasmere abounds with daffodils”
The. Staff at the Swan were welcoming and the premises was comfortable and quirky (I live in Australia). The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choices. You can clearly see this is an excellently run business, staff fully trained & attentative to your needs. “Great short stay”
Great little inn/hotel. Nice breakfast, friendly staff and good value for popular place in Lake District. Slightly out of grasmere, but a short walk. Would return.

Heavily upgraded local pub to small corporate chain. Efficient pre arrival and welcome. The room felt like it was mostly used for staff, it was very hard to find , around the back of the kitchens, with steps and slopes to navigate: no offer of help to find or with bags.
