After a much anticipated opening, we were very excited to go for our first Saturday lunch at the Hurt Arms and I cannot recommend it enough. The menu had a wide selection of options with pricing that more than fair. Making it beyond easy to go whether it's for a fish and chip dinner or a brunch with friends. We each got two mains and two desserts. Not only was the food delicious but the portions were fantastic for the two of us. After eating at half one we didn't feel hungry again till ten at night! Furthermore, the staff were fantastic. Big shout out to our lovely waitress Ella who was superb. Not only did she ensure that my food was allergy friendly and that the relevant drinks non-alcoholic for those of us tee-total, she was a genuine joy to have around when she was at our table. The place is positioned fantastically near the cricket ground so you can watch Sunday Games and has an amazing outdoor space suitable for watching World Cup's, or other big events; with breath-taking views of the local natural sites. Inside is (thankfully) air conditioned and is designed with genuine love and care with not a speck of dust in sight. Small things I noticed was just how accessible I found it. Although I am not a wheelchair user myself I found the majority of tables are suitable for those who need wheelchair assistance and none of the toilets required steps, with a disability toilet easy to find. I cannot comment about accessibility beyond the restaurant/ bar area however as that is all I saw. I can say there's enough space between tables not only for wheelchair access but also so that everyone can have their conversations whilst maintaining a lovely ambience as we passed people having baby showers, couples on dates and catch-up's with their friends to watch the football. We're looking forward to our next visit already and definitely splurge for a dessert!

We called in for lunch today, and was pleasantly surprised after reading a couple of negative reviews regarding long waits for food and rude staff. The pub was very busy, lots of staff serving and all very pleasant and polite. We were quickly shown to a table and both ordered the Cajun Chicken rice bowl, which was very tasty and well presented. Prices were reasonable, also for the drinks. Pleased to see they have Aspalls Cider on draught, as a lot of pubs gave changed to inches. We will definitely return.

“Great food, great staff, lovely pub”

We came on Saturday with some friends, very friendly staff, food was delicious, nice clean toilets, overall a great experience we will definitely be back.
