Brilliant dog friendly hotel. Feed bowls and beds provided with some treats and poo bags. Great hotel staff all super friendly and helpful. We booked for dinner with the dogs in tow and were catered for in the bar, the food was fantastic and we weren’t rushed at all, very cosy. The hotel itself has a historic feel and I just loved it. We were on the front and it was noisy in the morning (beer delivery) etc but you know it’s the middle of a town in a historic building, that didn’t ruin our stay. Breakfast was in a side bar, just us and the dogs which I actually preferred and the dogs got a sausage each for breakfast from the hotel. I loved this place, they catered for us and made us feel really welcome. Free parking, the entry way to the back carpark wasn’t as bad as stated and I drive an SUV And there’s a grass area for the dogs to toilet and a bin. I’d definitely stay again 100 percent. Loved it. There’s more than the town (I only just realised) there’s a costal path with great views back to the castle leading to a beautiful woodland park. I’m staying again, thanks for great memories ♥️

“Short Break”

Thank you to all staff for an enjoyable break this weekend, a lovely atmosphere in the hotel, room 110 comfortable and nicely furnished and food most enjoyable.

After spending the day in Conwy my husband and I went in the hotel to have an evening meal. Between us we had the black pudding scotch egg , the whipped feta and beetroot, the mackerel and chorizo risotto and the trout. After spending the day in Conwy my husband and I went in the hotel to have an evening meal. Between us we had the black pudding scotch egg , the whipped feta and beetroot, the mackerel and chorizo risotto and the trout. The food was of an upmarket standard, cooked to perfection and delicious. The service was quick and friendly and overall very reasonably priced. I would definitely go again.

“Tasty, but expensive, breakfast”

I popped in off the street having not booked a table for breakfast. A very helpful young man offered me a seat in the bar area, it was a beautiful room with a lovely relaxing atmosphere. I popped in off the street having not booked a table for breakfast. A very helpful young man offered me a seat in the bar area, it was a beautiful room with a lovely relaxing atmosphere. I had read that the breakfast was a buffet option, but I suspect that is for hotel guests only. From the menu provided, I chose the 'coachmans breakfast' it listed all the usual items for a breakfast, but not the number of each item. Friends had told me that they had previously requested how many of each they wanted. The breakfast arrived and looked very good. 2 eggs, 2 hash browns, 1 small piece of bacon, 1 lovely sausage, mushroom, beans, and a piece of black pudding that looked half crumbled half ripped.....The bacon was crispy, which I like, and despite the measly portion of black pudding, it was delicious. Everything tasted great, but I wasn't offered toast, which would have been handy. £13.95 for the breakfast, and £4.50 for a coffee (which I wasn't aware was extra until I paid, so it was bit of a shock). I would return if extra bacon and toast, and a proper piece of black pudding was on the plate.
