We stayed in the Townhouse, just a few metres down the main road from the King's Arms Hotel, with the choice of free hotel car park parking, or free on-street parking outside the Townhouse itself (first come, first served, not reserved). A lovely 2-night stay for a wedding. We stayed in the Townhouse, just a few metres down the main road from the King's Arms Hotel, with the choice of free hotel car park parking, or free on-street parking outside the Townhouse itself (first come, first served, not reserved). We parked on the street. The Townhouse itself was large and clean. The Receptionist struggled with the lock to open the Townhouse door for us, as did we a couple of times (top tip - don't slam the door shut, as it appears to partially throw the sliding top lock for some reason). Downstairs has a entrance lobby for coats and shoes, dining room and separate lounge, with a large, well-equipped kitchen and small courtyard garden. Rooms are large but manage to maintain a cottage feel. House was cold on arrival, as heating is timed. There is one small electric blow heater supplied for downstairs. We didn't spend much time in the house, so it was ok for us. Bedrooms are on the middle and top floors, accessed by small sets of fairly steep, curved stairs between floors. 2 decent sized double bedrooms and family bathroom are on the middle floor, and a double bedroom and ensuite shower room on the top floor. Beds were comfortable. Family bathroom has a shower over bath arrangement somewhat squeezed in, due to sloping roof line. It was ok for us. Lounge has plenty of sofa seating available, and a large coffee table, ideal for games and cups of tea/coffee etc. Dining table is large, but we didn't use it as ate out. Kitchen is really well equipped with large fridge, Nespresso coffee machine (no aeroccino though), cooker, etc. Tea, coffee, biscuits, hot choc, sugar, plastic milks, and a bottle of red wine, was all supplied, we took our own fresh milk. Having fresh milk in the fridge would have been a great addition. Glasses were odd as there weren't 6 of each type for a house that sleeps 6..... Food was generally very good. Breakfast, dinner (but less so the desserts) and the wedding fayre were all great. Don't leave breakfast too late if you like pastries, as they ran out both mornings. Cooked breakfast options were really good. The wedding venue is reached down cobbled outdoor pathways. Has lots of space inside if the weather isn't great. Staff were all very welcoming and friendly, thank you.

“Very good greta location”

Lovely stay - great location in the heart of the village. Loads of traditional features which have been used to enhance the over all feels :)

“Good location, average room”

I got an accomodation in the main building (old and original structure). The room was too tiny and was not worth the money I paid. Probably there are better options in the relatively newly constructed structures.

We chose this hotel as Amersham is on the TfL (i.e.Oyster) network. The room lacked a functioning shower which was not fixed during our four nights stay. The breakfasts were not as good as during our previous stays and the service varied from excellent to poor depending on who was waiting on. The c… lisää

We chose this hotel as Amersham is on the TfL (i.e.Oyster) network. The room lacked a functioning shower which was not fixed during our four nights stay. The breakfasts were not as good as during our previous stays and the service varied from excellent to poor depending on who was waiting on. The contemporary large room was spacious with a very comfortable bed. I cannot fathom out why the room rate started at £134 (Monday) and went to £153 (Wednesday) then £135 (Thursday). But neither could the receptionist.
