“Excellent business facilities, staff & food, a really lovely hotel.”

I have been staying at this hotel for 3 weeks for business, and I will be coming back for a further 2 weeks in a few weeks time and I have to say, what a gem of a place. I have stayed in both parts of the hotel, the newer building is under renovation and the new rooms look great, the older main building is very homely and just really nice. All rooms are of a good size, they are all warm and cosy and I have found them all to be really quiet too, so getting rest is not an issue.....especially as the beds are all very comfortable. I suppose the only bit of feedback I could offer, and it's really actually not that big of an issue, is the water pressure in some parts of the building is a bit low...but if that's all I have to say then that should indicate how good it is here. The biggest highlight of the whole place is the staff, they are absolutely brilliant and go above and beyond at all times. Nothing is ever too much trouble for them, they are always smiling and happy and are keen to help if you do raise any concerns. I also have to congratulate the chef and kitchen, the food is superb and totally not what I was expecting, not the biggest menu, but actually, that works for me because it means with less dishes, they get the quality to a high standard every time. From a business perspective, this place is huge, so many rooms available for conferencing, training etc, and again, this is where the staff all excel, ensuring the best environment is created and maintained. I have been impressed with the facilities and the attention to detail that is demonstrated on a daily basis, for our business needs it has been perfect. I have seen several wakes being held here since I have been a guest and again, they all seemed to be looked after so well. With regards to staff, particular mention needs to go to Kunal, he has been probably the main person I have seen throughout my 3 weeks, and he is exceptionally good at getting things sorted and providing top quality customer service at all times....but honestly, ALL staff members are a real credit to Whately Hall. I'm looking forward to coming back in a few weeks time, it's a home from home and as somebody who does stay in a lot of hotels, this is one of the best, they absolutely own every one of their 3 stars.

“Wonderful stay”

Spent 3 nights at this beautiful hotel! Lovely spacious room with comfy beds. Modern bathroom with a great shower. Excellent cleanliness. “Excellent value and 4 star not 3 in my opinion.”

Had a very pleasent stay here from Sunday 4th January. Room was sparkling clean and staff very friendly. Got to give a big thanks to Reece who was on the bar Sunday evening and breakfast Monday morning. Always smiling and willing to answer any questions as to good spots to go and see. “Budget at its finest”
