“Stuck for a hotel”
The two usual hotels chains were charging almost £120 per night which was way over my work budget. Did a bit of digging and found the royal hotel. Older reviews said to stay away on other sites but the more i read the more the newer reviews got better. Looks like theyve been investing in the pla… lisää

Was stick for somewhere to stop and found this place on Google.what a gem. Great food large clean rooms fantastic atmosphere in pub. Locals were amazingly friendly. Great staff. New owners and undergoing large scale improvements. Forget premier in. Or travelodge. Give it s shot you won’t be disappo… lisää

“Great makeover and the toiletries in a basket is a fantastic idea.”
The makeover is great and it looks ten times better. The glittery toilets and a basket of toiletries, etc was a great idea. Drinks are too pricey either. Hope it can continue with the good work as it has come on a long way.

“Good value place to stay”
Stayed at this older hotel a number of times it is very convenient when working in Barrow in Furness and good value. Popular with travelling workers it is fairly basic and could maybe do with a spruce up but the breakfast was very nice and the rooms are clean and quiet.
