The staff do not put the customer first. Made to feel like we were an inconvenience. Think they need to rethink their career if they don't want to be help or go the extra mile in order to achieve the company's 100% customer satisfaction motto! I asked Kieran to clean a table outside which he replied 'when he gets round to it!' Instead of, 'of course, can you give me 5 minutes!' meaning one would be more understanding with a more polite response. The lady at breakfast said 'help yourself to the continental what's left!!'. 3 pieces of dry bread and warm yoghurt! No plates, nearly empty orange juice! I would be fuming if we had paid for continental only. We arrived at 915am whilst advertising breakfast is until 10am! We missed the chocolates on the bed and personal welcome note we had last year. These little touches encourages repeat customers, but they obviously are not looking for customer loyalty.

We stayed here, meeting with family for a “catch up” evening, organised by another family member who had stayed here before. A lovely welcome both at reception and the bar. Our room was spacious, comfortable and bright. The only bit that spoiled my experience of the room was that there wasn’t a mirror behind the dressing table/desk nor was there a shelf area by the mirror where one could plug in hair straighteners or put on one’s makeup. However, we went for dinner and although the service was a tad slow (think there may have been a staffing issue), Rochelle and her team delivered with a smile. It was my birthday and our table was decorated with balloons and I was even given a handwritten card - which was a lovely touch. They couldn’t really do enough for us. Breakfast was also delicious and hot, with plenty of choice with pastries and cereals. There was only one coffee pot and a number of tables waiting for the coffee to brew, so it made a fun race for a Sunday morning. Didn’t spoil our enjoyment though. The chambermaids were cheery and friendly, too. Rochelle, we will be back! Thank you for your hospitality
