We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel and can’t recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive, making sure every detail of our stay was perfect. A special mention has to go to Emma, the General Manager, who was truly fantastic. Her professionalism, friendliness, and genuine care for guests really stood out. She went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly, and it’s clear she leads her team to the highest standards. The entire staff were consistently helpful, polite, and eager to assist with anything we needed, creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere throughout our stay. The food in the restaurant was beautiful and really added to the overall experience. Thank you to everyone for such a memorable experience — we will definitely be returning!

“Looking forward to our 5th stay.”

Our fourth stay here and just as good every time. The staff , both front of house and housekeeping, are very friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. Very spacious, comfortable room with lots of space. A good wine list, Black Sheep beer and excellent dinner for meat eaters and vegetarian… lisää

Our fourth stay here and just as good every time. The staff , both front of house and housekeeping, are very friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. Very spacious, comfortable room with lots of space. A good wine list, Black Sheep beer and excellent dinner for meat eaters and vegetarians alike. Particular thanks to our Sunday evening dining room manager who specially located a heavenly soufflé for us and the chef who came back to cook it. Being here felt like coming home. Thanks to all.

“Nice stay with excellent staff”

Stayed here for a couple of nights. Firstly the staff.... lovely genuinely friendly and are very professional. You can see why this place has a good reputation. The room i'd class as good, the bed very comfy, the furniture kind of quirky in a good way mixing old with modern. A little coffee machine… lisää

Stayed here for a couple of nights. Firstly the staff.... lovely genuinely friendly and are very professional. You can see why this place has a good reputation. The room i'd class as good, the bed very comfy, the furniture kind of quirky in a good way mixing old with modern. A little coffee machine along with the standard kettle was a nice touch. The walls are a bit thin could hear the people next door but it is what it is you cant change an old building easily. The bathroom id say needs a bit of TLC, a bit of regrouting on the tiles and in our bathroom one of the bulbs out, the mirror starting to show a bit of wear. The indoor pool and jacuzzi, steam room and sauna were excellent, very clean and probably worth the money by itself. Overall very happy just the odd bathroom upgrade required for a 5/5 review
