“A terrifically wonderful 75 years birthday bash.”

What a wonderful, marvellous 75 years. Birthday treat the owner, Jane, put on for my immediate family in her award-winning premises in April 26. This B&B, but more of a hotel, is seemingly nestled away from it all, but less than 4 miles from the free park and ride or less than 5 miles from the centre of Lincoln. It allows you to really feel like you are staying out in the countryside, without light pollution. There were 13 of us. Jane, the owner, went out of her way to ensure we were truly made at home. We made use of all four of her lovely, well-appointed, award-winning bedrooms for those living away. Without exception, all said they had never slept in more comfortable beds. Jane gave us a huge table which accommodated us all for Dinner and breakfast the next day. The next-door lounge room was laid out with beautiful, comfortable sofas for us all to relax in and chat after dinner. Once all the staying guests were settled in, we started with pre-dinner drinks in the lounge area before being called through to the dining area for dinner. With wine and water on the table, we all each had a three-course meal. I started with an excellent prawn cocktail, followed by a proper beef steak pie, the best triple-cooked chips I have ever had and peas. Then finished with a cheesecake, which probably suited most, but was a bit sweet for my taste. My daughter-in-law had a cheese board to die for. Then it was drinks and chat in the lounge area. I'm sure Jane would have let us stay longer, but by 11 p.m., we were all headed for bed after a terrific evening. The following morning, my wife, my eldest son, and I popped back, where we all had a sumptuous breakfast to set us up for the day. There was everything you would expect to choose from in a very good hotel. After all our relatives had left, Jane allowed us the use of one of the hot tubs. I bet they are really great under the stars, but we still enjoyed their use, and they are a highlight of anyone's stay. The whole place is spotlessly clean, and there is no noise apart from the usual countryside. The service is 2nd to none, and all said they thought Jane was wonderful and dealt with all they needed. Jane caters for weddings and was planning one when I saw her earlier on the day of my arrival, business and corporate events, parties and funerals and will cater if at all possible, for anything she can. All of my relatives will highly recommend a stay at The Bridelway, and I have already asked her to look at pricing for my wife's relatives. In addition, Jane has designed and added artwork which she sells. Paintings, table lamps, dinner sets, etc. Mainly of animals. These can be found at the B&B and a shop in Lincoln. I know she will have a stand at the Lincolnshire Show in June, and it would be worth checking it out.

“Perfection”

We stayed in the beautiful Garden room for the weekend. Everything was exceptional, from food to decor and toiletries. Jane was a fabulous host, extremely kind and considerate. Would love to return one day

“Gorgeous hidden gem”

Beautifully presented garden room where everything we could ever think of had been provided for us. Jane was lovely and gave us lots of useful advice. Breakfast was beautifully presented and delicious and delivered to our room. Hidden gem which we would love to re-visit.

“Why book a hotel when you can stay here!?”

This was our second trip to this hidden gem of a place, which is nestled in beautiful countryside just outside of Lincoln.
