We chose to book our wedding at The Lygon Arms, we were unsure if our idea was possible. We wanted 20 guests and our dog to be there, a simple ceremony (our choice) and a wedding breakfast for us all within this amazing hotel. We contacted the hotel online and was emailed almost immediately back by Melissa, the wedding coordinator. From the off, she was open to ideas, gave ideas and invited us to attend for a meeting. She immediately made us feel relaxed and special. The package we chose was perfect due to Melissa and the adaptions that were allowed. We had two overnight stays in a delightful, large room perfect for the bridal party to get ready, access to the spa (hot oil massage booked for my now husband on the wedding morning which relaxed him completely). Melissa even found a location to hide my dress, wow!! Our dog stayed with us in our room, Melissa had provided a very comfy spotless dog bed for Buddy, dog treats and a toy rope, which he loved and refused to leave! We were treated like the most important guests staying at the hotel, which made the stay extra special for us. Nothing was too much trouble. We were quietly and carefully guided throughout every moment from arrival to leaving on the Sunday by Melissa. For the wedding breakfast we were attended to by a wonderful young man that the whole wedding party fell in love with. Ollie. What a star and a hard worker. He deserves so much from the industry and would be an amazing addition to Melissa permanently, don’t let this diamond be poached elsewhere!! He read the room, our needs and even looked after Buddy by topping up his water and gave him treats, with our permission. Look after these two please. We look forward to our next stay with the best hotel in the area. Thank you all so much.

Stayed here for two nights in a Cosy Double to celebrate my husband‘s 60th birthday. I had arranged with Julia by email to have some lovely Brthday treats ready in our room for my husband.She nailed it and he was blown away.We were greeted by Gary who was so lovely and he showed us to our room.The room was lovely and they supplied the hypoallergenic sheets that i had requested last year when i booked.The bed was a let down as the mattress was just too soft so i hardly slept.The bathroom was large and bright but the radiator was constantly on which wasn’t needed and no way of turning it off.The toilet flush was weak plus watch out for the shower taps as the hot is extremely hot.Had lunch in the bar which was delicious plus our meals at The Grill and Tavern were superb.Breakfast was delicious and plentiful and lovely Zofia served us.We will definitely return and highly recommend this hotel.

“Beautiful hotel, lovely location just lose the bling brigade.”

Broadway was where I went on one of my favourite camping holidays. It has since become the domain of people with 2/3/4 homes as has a lot of the Cotswolds. This hotel is a lovely place although the supercar brigade that gravitate towards here lead by the celeb chef makes it less appealing for me. … lisää
