I stayed at the Holiday Inn for two nights whilst attending a company event. I had a room on the second floor which you can access by lift or stairs. I stayed at the Holiday Inn for two nights whilst attending a company event. I had a room on the second floor which you can access by lift or stairs. The room was bright, airy and clean with a large flat screen TV, free wi-fi and a small desk. There were plenty of power points, air conditioning, adequate storage and a large, comfortable double bed. The bathroom had a large box shower with a powerful, variable shower and plenty of hot water, body wash and shampoo. Breakfast was served from 6.30 am onwards and offered cereals, juices, toast, croissants and a self service hot option of sausage, scrambled egg, bacon, beans, hash browns, tomato and mushrooms. I got down to breakfast early both days and so the food was hot and tasty. There is a small bar area adjacent to the left of the reception as well as a selection of drinks, food, snacks and a microwave to the right. Lunch and evening meals and snacks can also be ordered - see menu photo. A pleasant stay and a good offering. The staff were friendly and reacted promptly to all requests.

“Ok for an overnight stay”

Easy to find, good location, room was clean throughout, no noise from other rooms, the Lady who booked us in was superb. The breakfast was good but why do we have to eat off a side plate instead of a dinner plate? I mention this last year to them but no change.

On arrival a young lady checked us in,she went through all the information that we needed and gave us our keycard,I felt there was lack of a smile and a warm welcome (which we did recieve from Lichfield Holiday Inn) we entered our room on the 3rd floor and it smelt and looked clean.and fresh (well … lisää

On arrival a young lady checked us in,she went through all the information that we needed and gave us our keycard,I felt there was lack of a smile and a warm welcome (which we did recieve from Lichfield Holiday Inn) we entered our room on the 3rd floor and it smelt and looked clean.and fresh (well done HK) there was some noise of banging of doors and people talking loudly late at night. We went down for breakfast where there was plenty of choice,the food was lovely. We only stayed the one night sk after breakfast we departed but wasn't greeted by any staff which would have bern nice so we just left the key in the lityle container and left. There is plenty of parking but there is a charge of £5 per night.

“Adequate”

A quick stopover- adequate is as far as I would go. We usually use Premier Inn for this type of trip and expected the same - on the whole, that’s what we got but just not quite. The room was a bit poky - not so easy to move around especially as my husband has some mobility issues; it was beautiful… lisää

A quick stopover- adequate is as far as I would go. We usually use Premier Inn for this type of trip and expected the same - on the whole, that’s what we got but just not quite. The room was a bit poky - not so easy to move around especially as my husband has some mobility issues; it was beautifully clean except for a very grubby and stained sofa which we chose not to use (yes -it was that bad!) We chose to go down for a latish breakfast and there was still plenty of fresh hot food available right up to breakfast closing. The additional charge for parking feels unnecessary and a bit of a rip off; unless you are right in a city centre, using a hotel which has to pay premium rates for land, I feel parking should just be an expectation you can rely on. (The charge made the stay exactly the same price as the Premier Inn we had looked at - meaning we would definitely go back to our usual choice in future.)
