“Better than expected”

All good here .. plenty of parking, quiet, clean and a decent breakfast offering as well.

“Ok for an overnight stay”

Easy to find, good location, room was clean throughout, no noise from other rooms, the Lady who booked us in was superb. The breakfast was good but why do we have to eat off a side plate instead of a dinner plate? I mention this last year to them but no change.

I stayed here in a family room with my 3 kids. There was plenty of parking and the Ibis hotel is next door. Parking is £5 per night. Check in was fast and the staff were friendly. I stayed here in a family room with my 3 kids. There was plenty of parking and the Ibis hotel is next door. Parking is £5 per night. Check in was fast and the staff were friendly. Our room was very small, probably the smallest family room I’ve had in any hotel. I Joe stay don’t think it was suitable or big enough to accommodate 4 people. The shower room is a very tight squeeze, no good if you are on the large size. There was one double bed and a small sofa bed. Tea and coffee were provided and there was a tv, iron and hairdryer. It was 28 degrees outside and the room was like a sauna, no fan or air con. The window also only opened a small amount. When it was open the noise from the A38 dual carriageway right next to the hotel was so loud it kept me awake. I didn’t sleep much at this hotel, even a motorway hotel would be further away from the road. The breakfast is included and was okay. Sausages, bacon, eggs, beans and hash browns. There was bread, croissants, fruit and cereal. It a huge selection, but it was okay for the price we paid. There was a Morrisons close by and it wasn’t far from burton on Trent centre. I don’t think I’d stay again due to the size of the room. I’d rather pay a similar price and stay in a premier inn. The rooms are bigger and just seem better quality than this holiday inn express.

“Adequate”

A quick stopover- adequate is as far as I would go. We usually use Premier Inn for this type of trip and expected the same - on the whole, that’s what we got but just not quite. The room was a bit poky - not so easy to move around especially as my husband has some mobility issues; it was beautiful… lisää

A quick stopover- adequate is as far as I would go. We usually use Premier Inn for this type of trip and expected the same - on the whole, that’s what we got but just not quite. The room was a bit poky - not so easy to move around especially as my husband has some mobility issues; it was beautifully clean except for a very grubby and stained sofa which we chose not to use (yes -it was that bad!) We chose to go down for a latish breakfast and there was still plenty of fresh hot food available right up to breakfast closing. The additional charge for parking feels unnecessary and a bit of a rip off; unless you are right in a city centre, using a hotel which has to pay premium rates for land, I feel parking should just be an expectation you can rely on. (The charge made the stay exactly the same price as the Premier Inn we had looked at - meaning we would definitely go back to our usual choice in future.)
