“Outstanding!”

How do I start..... November 28th November and for many reasons a belated stay at Buxted Park Hotel. Be aware...this will be my best review....ever. This was for my beautiful finacee for her birthday On arrival at 3pm we were welcomed at reception, with the warmest welcome. We were shown to our room by Francesco who was without words charismatic, friendly and informative. He took us to our room, the Aknhaton Suite. Used by the Sheik owner that purchased the property in the 70's. Wow!!!!! We entered the room via lobby with dresser and wardrobes and door to fridge and further storage and safe. Then we saw the room.....unbelievable. A duel aspect room looking across Ashdown Forest and a lake. The room was huge, I mean huge! Every touch you need...its there. The photos will tell a story I can't write. We went to the bar and had a couple of drinks and was treated by the upmost respect. We then discovered a snooker room. Not just any snooker room! We got drinks served to us, and above that could wear a vintage hat. I went all Alex Higgins and wore a fedora hat and played....tears...my hero....I didn't know how better this could get. ....but it did We dressed for dinner and was given a 5* experience beyond belief. We were given a small canape for starters. We ordered our starters of soup and duck.....unbelievable. Then we ordered the fillet steak....outstanding, and I mean outstanding! We asked to speak to chef who duly came and we had a great conversation....and then just to top it all off, they brought out a special birthday chocolate plate for my beautiful Lekkie's birthday. It was beyond words and the most incredible touch. After what was the most incredible nights sleep we awoke, and decided to take a walk in the grounds. Extensive walking grounds, and we were given wellie boots and an umbrella...we walked for an hour to the lakes....does it get any better? It did...because we had an included breakfast. We bot had full English. ....and this is where the story concludes....This was without doubt the tastiest full English we have ever had. We have stayed in hotels across the world......but this is the full stop..... This hotel...from the moment we walked in the door to leaving Every drink Every single staff member we interacted with The room The Snooker room The amazing dinner The amenities The atmosphere .....everything! We found the best! And I mean the best. We have stayed in every budget given hotel around the world for each occasion...but we are going out on a limb now and have agreed that taking everything into consideration this is absolutely the best hotel and experience we have ever had...no question The most perfect 24 hours! Treat yourself to the most incredible stay. Book the suites have the dinners (cut up the bank card) and enjoy something beyond expectation. Will absolutely return. I joked...but this was one of the most incredible 24 hours
