Had a great stay for the first time, had one of the best and warm/welcome check ins with Liam and he could'nt do enough without being over the top and so friendly. Infact all the staff had a warm and friendly vibe and speacial shout out to the lovley Diane at breakfast also! Room was comfy and had a nice dinner (steak). All I would say is part of the hotel does look a little run down though still very clean (maybe a bit of weeding outside aswell) all in all a great stay from start to finish and made even better by a great team!

We had a great stay. Sure there is is some crumbly bits to the hotel like a drippy sink and some random mark in hallway but I am giving it 5 star cause it’s perfect for a stop over for a night with my wife and two kids on the way up north and did all the important stuff really well. We had a great stay. Sure there is is some crumbly bits to the hotel like a drippy sink and some random mark in hallway but I am giving it 5 star cause it’s perfect for a stop over for a night with my wife and two kids on the way up north and did all the important stuff really well. The staff were incredible friendly and on it, only name I got was Emily at reception but she really helpful making it an easy stay for my family. Also the brekkie was yum and not just dished out like some similar hotels. For context I stay in Holiday Inn / Holiday Inn Express all over the country for work so I have sampled a lot of them. Sure I have stayed in newer/more polished ones but I’d easily come back to this one for the staff.

Stayed here two nights for a work trip. I have to say this time wasn't as good as last time a few months ago. My room was fine, although I couldn't make one of the 4 pillows right for comfort. Stayed here two nights for a work trip. I have to say this time wasn't as good as last time a few months ago. My room was fine, although I couldn't make one of the 4 pillows right for comfort. However, the bathroom was grim. The heated towle rail was really rusty, resulting in brown dust all over the towel and the surfaces. And the shower head and hose were disgusting, black slimy muck over both. The whole hotel is a bit 'tired'. Worn carpets everywhere and no biscuits in the room!! Shock! It's a shame because the staff here are amongst the friendliest I have ever encountered - in particular the ladies on reception and a special mention for Ashleigh in the restauarant whose attention to detail and customer service are EXCEPTIONAL.
