I booked here for a last minute stay as I was visiting family in Derby. The property is really well located and it was easy to walk into Derby City Centre. On arrival, we were promptly greeted by friendly staff. My IHG Status was recognised and all our requests were readily accommodated. The bedroom was well presented, clean and warm. The bed was really comfortable. From an accommodation perspective, it was a prime example of a HI Express. The complementary breakfast was plentiful, hot and tasty. It was well organised and easy to use. All of the staff we interacted with were really friendly. We would definitely return and recommend this property if you need a convenient IHG near Derby.

This was our first visit and it was a great experience from start to finish. Great location and very cheap car park…… easy walk into centre….. Excellent welcome and simple and professional check in. The hotel chares £14 for overnight car parking, whereas £10 feels like the mostit should be. I booked online, the checkin was quick and easy. A modern hotel with the amenities you would expect. The rooms were clean and spacious. The staff were helpful, if not exactly enthusiastic. A modern hotel with the amenities you would expect. The rooms were clean and spacious. The staff were helpful, if not exactly enthusiastic. On reflection, we should have gone out for our evening meal; there was some kind of restaurant opposite, but it was snowing, so we decided to eat in. The menu was very thin and the food was over-processed - not very pleasant. The breakfast was buffet-style and, inevitably for that kind of thing, not very hot. Overall ok, but next time we stay in Derby we'll find somewhere else.
