I was having problems with my boiler and wet room and wanted to get away for a night because I was cold and fed up with all the mess at home. I booked a night here and can honestly say I didn't want to go back home. Absolutely beautiful room, toasty warm, and I had lots of hot water for a lovely bath. There's lifts to your room and everywhere is immaculate. I woke up to see some swans on the water outside and was so relaxed here. I thoroughly enjoyed everything here and would highly recommend this hotel. Many thanks to the staff there.

“Unmatched Hospitality and an Excellent Breakfast”

I stayed here for three nights while attending a nearby course and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I arrived quite late after a long drive and was greeted with an exceptionally warm welcome at reception. That genuine friendliness continued throughout my stay; the hospitality was truly outstanding and far exceeded anywhere else I’ve stayed. The room was nicely decorated with a modern feel. The bed was very comfortable, and I slept well every night. Tea and coffee-making facilities were provided, along with biscuits (always a bonus!). The bathroom was clean and functional with plenty of towels, although it was noticeably older than the bedroom itself. I was pleased to see a glass shower screen, having noticed photos from previous reviews showing shower curtains, which I’m personally not keen on. There was plenty of parking available across a few different areas, and I never had trouble finding a space. One thing to note is that the car parks over the bridge are a little dark and the area is fairly quiet. However, despite travelling alone as a female, I felt extremely safe throughout my stay. Breakfast was excellent. Hot tea or coffee was brought to the table, and there was an impressive selection of hot items - more varied than I’ve seen in most hotels. Everything was hot (not just warm), and it was reassuring to see temperature checks being carried out. There was also a great choice of cereals, yoghurt, fruit and juices, along with breads and a variety of small pastries. It was particularly nice to see a dedicated gluten-free area with a separate toaster, showing real thought, even though I didn’t personally need it. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and will wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to others I know who will be attending the same course in the coming months.

“5 STAR HOTEL at a 3 STAR price !”

Stayed there 4nights just before Christmas, the staff are incredible fabulous customer service, and stunning breakfast buffet, in all the years I have stayed in hotels I have never had , black pudding, tinned tomatoes, and real perfect fried eggs for breakfast, along with all the usual. Stayed there 4nights just before Christmas, the staff are incredible fabulous customer service, and stunning breakfast buffet, in all the years I have stayed in hotels I have never had , black pudding, tinned tomatoes, and real perfect fried eggs for breakfast, along with all the usual. Hot and cold dishes, great comfortable bed hot shower , and the maid service was wonderful , and order food from nearby restaurants and they deliver to the front desk , then the staff amazingly provided plates and knives and forks, above and beyond normal practice in hotels, the only small draw back is the location which is difficult to find as our satnav sent us the wrong way three times, but all in all a wonderful hotel.
