“Great Hotel, good location.”
The room was clean and well appointed. The complimentary port and flapjack along with the usual tea and coffee was a nice touch. We also had decent air conditioning ! “Favorite hotel in Exeter”
We've stayed at various hotels in Exeter and the City Gate is our favorite. All staff are friendly and welcoming. Lovely, relaxed atmosphere and great food.

“Fantastic”
Thankyou city gate for a fantastic stay with you. Arrived 24th June for two nights . Your hotel is just the best. Decor , staff , rooms , cleanliness , food and customer service was outstanding. Perfect location for our visit to powderham castle to see Teddy swims. Will definitely come back to you… lisää

“Quaint Hotel near High Street”
The staff were wonderful, the rooms were adorable and the location ideal. The outdoor patio was a great place for an evening cocktail and they were having World Cup matches on a big screen. Would certainly come back.
