“Valentine’s stay”

Stayed for a long weekend, everything was excellent from start to finish. We stayed in a superior seaview and the room was better than the images online. Stayed for a long weekend, everything was excellent from start to finish. We stayed in a superior seaview and the room was better than the images online. The room was described as ‘mid-sized’ but in reality it was large. The room was well finished and had some nice touches like the hotels initials on the scatter cushions placed on the bed. The view from the room was wonderful and well worth the small increase in room rate, looking out onto the estuary and sea. The following was provided and replenished everyday: decanter of gin with two glasses and an ice cooler, borders biscuits, full selection of hot drinks from herbal tea to decaf teas and hot chocolate. There was also an espresso machine with a variety of coffee capsules. Whilst UHT milk was provided, you can ring reception and they will bring up fresh milk for your hot drinks and ice for the gin. We did this every day and they were outside the room within 2 minutes of calling every time. A bottle of Hildon mineral water for each person was also provided every day. There is also a minibar with various soft drinks, tonic and beer (handy for cooling you own drinks too). We had an excellent sleep, the room was suitably soundproofed from other rooms and the heating was ample for the room. The bathroom was of a high standard - definitely more 5*. His and hers sinks, full bathtub and rain shower (that actually had good pressure!). Well stocked with full size Bramley toiletries rather than the usual travel size ones. Bathrobe, slippers, iron & ironing board, hairdryer, safe also provided in room. Continental breakfast is provided and a cooked breakfast can be prepaid in the room rate or on the day for £10pp. The continental was well stocked: variety or fresh fruit, cereals & granola, yoghurt, several different pastries, salamis & hams, cheese and a variety of breads. Fresh juices provided and your order for hot drinks taken after you are seated. Note that parking needs to be prebooked if they are busy (which they were) and your parking bay is labelled with your name which is a nice personal touch. If you don’t mind a short walk, the road on from the hotel has free parking and is a 2min walk. The readymoney car park, about 5 mins away is also completely free to park in outside of spring and summer. All in all the everything about the hotel was above what I expected, the service, the housekeeping and the hotel all excellent.

“Another fabulous stay”

Yet another wonderful stay at this lovely hotel. Great staff, stunning views from the bar, wonderful food, comfortable rooms - we never tire of it. It’s great out of season - so impressive sitting in the bar during the storm watching the windows flex!!

“Tired hotel good bar.”

I went to this hotel for a drink with the missus. Seems a bit tired on the outside. Inside was ok. The barman was great Hamilton i think he was called. I will go back we enjoyed it.
