“A good venue for a nice stay at Glastonbury.”

Stayed in one of the rooms for two nights for my 37th birthday with my partner. Was a lovely time. Good staff, venue and food. Room was not bad at all and ended up with one of the ones with a nice view of the Glastonbury Tor. Sadly the Glastonbury information center is being worked on but there was virtually no noise from that. Was also a good location to base from as it is in the center of town between the high street, natural water springs and the abbey ruins. Would happily stay there again and recommend others.

“Lovely pub for drinks and food! Staff were efficient and friendly.”

Lovely pub opposite the Tuesday market. Great bar staff efficient and friendly. Didn’t have food but it looked decent coming out to others tables. A blend of local and tourist clientele. I had a good sized filter coffee (designated driver) and hubby had a nice pint of Guinness.

Before you read my review, I want to say that I would stay here again. I wasn’t too keen on the fact that my bathroom was separate from my bedroom, although I was pleased to have a bath. It felt a little strange having to walk out of my room to use the bathroom. The tap also needs fixing in the ba… lisää

Before you read my review, I want to say that I would stay here again. I wasn’t too keen on the fact that my bathroom was separate from my bedroom, although I was pleased to have a bath. It felt a little strange having to walk out of my room to use the bathroom. The tap also needs fixing in the bath, it seemed to have been slowly running extremely hot for a long time, and when I mentioned it to staff, they didn’t seem surprised. It would have been a concern if I'd had a young child with me. Perhaps then a different room would have been given with an en-suite bathroom. On a positive note, the live music made one of our evenings really enjoyable. It would have been great if guests were informed about it in advance, as we only found out at the last minute. Unfortunately, we had already eaten elsewhere, then stayed for the entertainment. I did notice that some people came into the pub and listened to the music without even buying a drink. Perhaps the pub could introduce a small entrance fee, say £3, with a ticket that can be redeemed against a drink. That way, guests either pay £3 to enjoy the music, or effectively get the music included when they purchase a drink.

“Nice big bed and views to the Tor”

So, we booked a room here at this pub on the main street in Glastonbury. Room 4 had views up to the Tor on the hill and a huge bed. The bathroom was tiny and we struggled a little for space in there when showering. Very bright in the room from street lighting and a little noisy as you would expect,… lisää

So, we booked a room here at this pub on the main street in Glastonbury. Room 4 had views up to the Tor on the hill and a huge bed. The bathroom was tiny and we struggled a little for space in there when showering. Very bright in the room from street lighting and a little noisy as you would expect, (located on the High Street). Couldn't fault the comfy bed and everything was clean. Could do with a new shower room but I'm being fussy. Breakfast was decent enough and the staff in the bar were friendly and cheerful.
