We returned to the Netherwood for an overnight stay to celebrate our wedding anniversary having married at the hotel 22 years previously. With very happy memories of our wedding day, we were delighted to find that the hotel remains up there with the very best hotels in terms of its super friendly staff, professional service, great quality food and beautiful interiors. Its location cannot be surpassed with amazing views across the bay. We don't know why we haven't revisited sooner..but we will certainly be visiting again very soon. 😍

“Lovely Spa”

I have visited the Netherwood Hotel and Spa twice now, the first time was for a girls trip, and the second time was with my husband. Both times I have been really impressed and left the spa feeling very relaxed. My only advice is to book mid week if you can, I have been on a Saturday and a Thursday… lisää

I have visited the Netherwood Hotel and Spa twice now, the first time was for a girls trip, and the second time was with my husband. Both times I have been really impressed and left the spa feeling very relaxed. My only advice is to book mid week if you can, I have been on a Saturday and a Thursday, and the Saturday was much more crowded, although it wouldn't deter me from booking again. Both times we have booked the £75 package which includes 90 minutes of the spa, treatment and a small bottle of prosecco each, I feel like this deal is really good value for money.

“Gorgeous building and grounds, would recommend for couples.”

We had a very pleasant stay. Few really good positives: 1. Gorgeous building and surroundings, it is very old fashioned and has stately home vibes which we loved and the grounds were really stunning. The building had great character and was well maintained considering its age. 2. Great quality breakfast included with not and cold buffet food. 3. Bedrooms were spacious, comfortable and clean and I really really like their incentive to receive a bar voucher to reduce the laundering in rooms. 4. Good happy hour offer in the afternoon with 2-4-1 cocktails. 5. The team were all very friendly, helpful and pleasant and provided a great experience. If I had to nit pick I would say rooms for improvement: 1. We had a great spa treatment but the spa facilities themselves are a little bit limited, there is no pool for example. 2. The bar service was a little bit challenging; while all the staff were fantastic there was often no one at the bar and waits were long. We were younger than the average guests there and we still really enjoyed our stay, thank you for having us.

“Beautiful Hotel & Grounds”

For us this is a perfect South Lakes hotel experience. The Arts & Crafts building has been tastefully maintained and the gardens are magnificent. The staff are really helpful without being intrusive. For us this is a perfect South Lakes hotel experience. The Arts & Crafts building has been tastefully maintained and the gardens are magnificent. The staff are really helpful without being intrusive. We’re 4 star people who don’t want the BS of over the top obsequious service like hotel butlers etc of pretentious 5*. The rooms are clean with the expected minimum of modern features than mean the room maintains its original character. The restaurant is excellent too, with an excellent range of dishes (inc more than one veggie option) that are cooked perfectly. The Netherwood is walking distance from the railway station, one of the great features of Grange-over-Sands. There is plenty of car parking in the grounds. As we were leaving, the staff were going the extra mile with splendid decorations for a wedding.
