We booked hotel direct, as we have been several times before, Just a Mid week Break, We stayed Tue's to Thur's , Plenty of Car Parking, We arrived early , Just let reception know we had arrived, Knew rooms weren't ready, But asked if we could get certain room? & told if available no Problem ! We booked hotel direct, as we have been several times before, Just a Mid week Break, We stayed Tue's to Thur's , Plenty of Car Parking, We arrived early , Just let reception know we had arrived, Knew rooms weren't ready, But asked if we could get certain room? & told if available no Problem ! Then went in to Harrogate for a few Hours, bit of lunch, and look round shops, Got back to Hotel , and checked in, room requested was not available, But room opposite was , Good Option so we chose it ! Easy to Book in , all information given to us, Polite/ Friendly Staff , Got in to our room (Good Size) and unpacked, plenty of Wardrobe space & Drawers, Good sized Bathroom, All Facility's as expected eg:- Tea / Coffee, Milk, After we had settled in went down to Bar for Relaxing Drinks, again Friendly /Polite Staff, Got our drinks and notice some Improvements had taken place , New Tables & Chairs, Also a New Bar Menu if you didn't want a Main Evening or Lunchtime meal ! As we had eaten earlier, we opted for a Bar Meal, I chose the BBQ Smoked Double Cheeseburger, Wife opted for Classic Side Salad,Mozzarella Sticks Served with hot honey sauce (a,v)& Duck Spring Rolls Served with hoisin sauce (a), Ordered from Bar, Quick to be Served all nice and Hot ! Reasonably Priced, & very Tasty. Few more Drinks then retired for the Night, Next Morning we enjoyed a Good Breakfast, There is Plenty of Choice from Continental to Full English, Waiters takes Order for Tea/Coffee & ask's if we required Toast White or Brown Bread, this is Brought to Table , Cairn Hotel is well situated to Explore Harrogate ( Just a Short Walk in to Town) or 36 Bus Stop outside Hotel ether in to town or to Rippon, Other Buses pass as well for Various Destinations ! Again We enjoyed a Pleasant Stay at the Cairn Hotel , & will be Returning again , We have Already Booked the New Year Package as We had a Good Time Last New Year, and look forward to enjoying the Hospitality this Year . “Great location for town centre”

We’ve been to this venue 4 times now and this last visit was the best. The staff were lovely, welcoming and helpful, the room was clean and cosy and the breakfast is varied and delicious. There is a huge Carpark with ample room for guests. Yes the hotel is a little tired and is past its former days… lisää

We’ve been to this venue 4 times now and this last visit was the best. The staff were lovely, welcoming and helpful, the room was clean and cosy and the breakfast is varied and delicious. There is a huge Carpark with ample room for guests. Yes the hotel is a little tired and is past its former days of grandeur but that adds to its character in my view. Will def stay there again next time we’re in Harrogate.

“Terrible Bar service”

Bar service is atrocious. Waited almost 20 minutes to be served while the Barman tried to make 2 different cocktails, working from a laminated sheet. He then spent another 5 minutes delivering them! Ordered a chicken balti curry with naan bread. Balti is usually mild to medium. This would have burn… lisää

Bar service is atrocious. Waited almost 20 minutes to be served while the Barman tried to make 2 different cocktails, working from a laminated sheet. He then spent another 5 minutes delivering them! Ordered a chicken balti curry with naan bread. Balti is usually mild to medium. This would have burnt the mouth of you, and instead of naan bread it came with chapattis! Left most of it.

“Did the job”

Went to Harrogate for my birthday (1 night only) booked through Booking.com, mid-range price hotel 5 minutes walk to the centre. Great car park with plenty of spaces. Went to Harrogate for my birthday (1 night only) booked through Booking.com, mid-range price hotel 5 minutes walk to the centre. Great car park with plenty of spaces. Glad we got there early (1.30pmish) as it was full by 4pm, they did have 2 coach parties arrive later as well. The staff were lovely and friendly and there was lots of choice for breakfast, although I only had cereal and toast, my partner had a full english and said it was good. Room (107) - Good Points - Clean, Very comfy bed and lovely bathroom. Negavtives points - The room was very dated and in need of redecoration as the wallpaper was chipped and bubbling. The shower over the bath was very low and even me at 5ft tall just managed to get under it. You could also hear the shower / bath being used and people going to the toilet in the next room. I eventually opened the window in the room as it was boiling but i was very apprehensive as I though it would fall out as all the wood was rotten but when i looked out there were many windows like this. All in all it was a really nice friendly hotel and we did have a lovely stay
