The room was very nice, clean, big enough for two people. The hotel is in a very good location, in the city center. The hotel has an elevator and a dining area. There are many bars, cafeterias, a shopping center, other shops nearby. The train station is 10 minutes walk from the hotel. It would be nice if breakfast was included by default, without having to buy it separately. The room reservation fee per night was high enough to include such a bonus.

Arrived at 1pm charged £15 for early entry even though room was ready, there is a strict 3pm entry, happy Christmas! The room was clean and bed was comfortable Breakfast available for £11 pp all you can eat policy Great location for town and car park (multi storey) one minute away Staff friendly

“Not a good nights sleep guaranteed here...”

Premier Inn place a lot on their promise of a good nights sleep so I was surprised at my experience with this one. Premier Inn place a lot on their promise of a good nights sleep so I was surprised at my experience with this one. Positives- the hotel is in an excellent location, it is new, modern and clean and parking nearby is very convenient (if a bit of a rip off on weekdays). Breakfast is ok, we appreciated that kids were free if we paid for a breakfast as adults. However, we stayed in a family room and the bed was horrendous. The mattress was obviously worn out, sagging in the middle- you sat on it and immediately went down to the bed base- it was so soft- I am not a very heavy person by any means. Spent 3 nights with my husband and I trying our best not to roll into the centre of the bed involuntarily, and left exhausted and with a bad back. I only wish I knew about their good nights sleep guarantee as I would have absolutely asked for a refund it was that bad. Funnily enough when I complained about the mattress to the staff, asking if they could replace it or do something, while they were polite, they said there was nothing they could do (did not mention I could claim money back from premier inn -funny that). The fact they didn't even offer to at least turn the mattress to see if it helped was a bit poor? Having marketing all over the place touting their new amazing mattresses felt like a bit of a bad joke. Have had no choice but to book again for later in the year as I've family nearby and it is the best option for that, but I really hope the mattress is improved next time.
