3rd visit for lunch, fantastic service, lovely food, Mark has served us each time, really friendly and helpful guy You must visit, parking at the back of the pub, with a garden that I never knew existed Really busy today, lovely to see

“Dog and Bear a great place to stay”

This is our 4th stay at the Dog and Bear and it is perfect for exploring the area. We come just before Christmas, the pub had a lovely warm welcome. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. This is our 4th stay at the Dog and Bear and it is perfect for exploring the area. We come just before Christmas, the pub had a lovely warm welcome. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. We had an upgraded room this time. Massive bed, crisp white linen, fluffy white towels, tea and coffee facilities including a pcoffee pod machine. The food served for breakfast is really good. Lots of options to choose from and all cooked fresh for your order. The evening meals in the restaurant are just as good. Nice range of beers at the bar and a big log fire. What's not to love! Unfortunatly the heating system broke down on the day we arrived and it was an exceptionally cold day. These things happen and can not be predicted. It's how the staff manage the situation that matters. We were soon provided with a heater for our room and very quickly heaters were in all the public areas. Great effort to solve the problem and it showed how much the team value their customers experience. 10/10 for the Dog and Bear from us. Lenham is a very pretty village with a selection of shops and restaurants. We visited Tenterden Christmas Market and Canterbury. In the past we have visited Heaver Castle and Leeds Castle. Faversham and locally villages.

We have stayed here on a few occasions. We very much like Lenham village and the Red lion pub next door. If we go back that way I'm sorry to say we won't be coming back to the Dog and Bear. We booked a superior room as the extra space is always nice with the added advantage of a coffee machine in … lisää

We have stayed here on a few occasions. We very much like Lenham village and the Red lion pub next door. If we go back that way I'm sorry to say we won't be coming back to the Dog and Bear. We booked a superior room as the extra space is always nice with the added advantage of a coffee machine in the room. We were very tired from our 260 mile journey so we just wanted a drink, a bite to eat and then bed as we had to do it all again in the morning. The room was, to say the least, unloved. It had peeling paint, windows were single glazed which were not in the best condition, stains in the carpet,mould and rust in the bath,cobwebs behind pipes, chips in the painted wardrobes and for me DUST ON THE COFFEE PODS yes dust on the coffee pods WT* !!! We went to breakfast as breakfast here has always been fabulous, The coffee was wonderful, but this time round sorry, un-cooked mushrooms, mushy tomato, and over cooked bacon, and massive let down for me. I can also say good things, like staff were friendly, the bed was comfortable and sheets were clean although I did have a mark on my pillowcase ? I really don't want to find fault here as I said we really like Lenham village but sadly we won't be coming back to this hotel.
