“Fantastic for families”

Wonderful hotel and fantastic location. Friendly staff, suitable amenities and great for families. We stayed for 2 nights in February half-term. Wonderful hotel and fantastic location. Friendly staff, suitable amenities and great for families. We stayed for 2 nights in February half-term. Rooms were a good size, staff were very helpful and lots of information available for walks and things to do. My boys loved the pool! Breakfast was good with lots on offer. Would definitely stay here again. Good value for money.

We stayed on a competively priced Winter Escape - Bed, Breakfast and Main Course. We stayed on a competively priced Winter Escape - Bed, Breakfast and Main Course. Essentially this is a good hotel with decent rooms, an excellent breakfast, a large heated indoor pool and a good location. On the first evening Beef Stroganoff with mash on the so called "Bigger Appetite Menu" was small, poor and fif not included) very expensive. In retrospect we should have asked for it to be changed. We avoided this menu on the second night and ordered pizza which was good. When we checked our bill we found 3 unexpected charges, 2 of which have been refunded. The shower was quite feeble. However overall we had an enjoyable stay.

“Overall a good stay”

Overall this is a lovely and peaceful hotel. When I first booked I expected this to do a lot of walking. The rain and mud put paid to that, so I ended up spending much more time at the hotel than I planned! It was a lovely place to read and I enjoyed the option of different lounges. Overall this is a lovely and peaceful hotel. When I first booked I expected this to do a lot of walking. The rain and mud put paid to that, so I ended up spending much more time at the hotel than I planned! It was a lovely place to read and I enjoyed the option of different lounges. The staff were all great, and the breakfast was nice. The pool was already a good size for swimming lengths, which is not a guarantee at a hotel! There were two minor points that detracted from my stay. Firstly, rooms are no longer serviced. This was not clear on the website and I feel like the stay was a bit pricy in light of this. Also it was annoying that this was handwaved as “for privacy” when it’s clearly a cost-cutting measure! Secondly, the bathroom was tired and needed updating. The lino was starting to pull away in the corner, there were ugly marks on the walls where grab rails had been repositioned, one of the shower controls was damaged etc etc. Overall, though, this was a nice stay for a long weekend!

“Very enjoyable stay”

We stayed here for one night on a deal that included a dinner main meal & cooked breakfast. Staff were very friendly & helpful, especially the lady on reception. Our dog was with us & we were made to feel welcome. The room was ok, apart from the shower over bath which was luke warm with very little… lisää

We stayed here for one night on a deal that included a dinner main meal & cooked breakfast. Staff were very friendly & helpful, especially the lady on reception. Our dog was with us & we were made to feel welcome. The room was ok, apart from the shower over bath which was luke warm with very little pressure. Dinner was nice, but would have been poor value if we had to pay £19.50 for a main course. Breakfast was nice & Barney our dog was offered a sausage which was good of them. Location was perfect. Just a short walk into the town of Lyndhurst.
