Husband booked this and got a deal via Expedia whilst working in the area. For the price we wasn’t expecting much at all and it was one of best hotel rooms we’ve stayed in recently. We travel a lot for work but we would book here if in the area for pleasure and a shame we don’t live closer as the spa/pool was fantastic! Everywhere in the hotel was spotless. The room was the standard room and it was far from standard. Large comfortable bed, modern stylish decor and a modern spotless bathroom. We were on ground floor near disabled parking but did not hear a think! No noise throughout the evening. We ate in the club room and the food was very tasty. Service was great. All staff were very good. The pool was busy but spotlessly clean. The changing rooms the best we’ve been to outside luxury spas. The jacuzzi was huge, must get around 20 people in, powerful and very hot. Both sauna and steam very clean. Really impressed with the facilities and can’t wait to come back.

“Great one night stay”

The room was really clean and comfortable. Very quiet too. We enjoyed the use of the pool, sauna and Aqua pool. The breakfast was ok

Room was excellent. Big comfortable bed with fabulous feather pillows. Very tasteful decor. Exceptionally clean with quality bathroom products and a great shower. Room was excellent. Big comfortable bed with fabulous feather pillows. Very tasteful decor. Exceptionally clean with quality bathroom products and a great shower. Aircon worked well .A lovely peaceful sleep,well soundproofed with blackout curtains. Top notch. The big let down was the breakfast and disinterested staff. We arrived at 9.15 am( 45 minutes before finish). Self service taken to the absolute extreme. No hot water in dispenser for tea,no teaspoons,just wooden stirers,no milk in the vacuum jug. No bacon in the chafers,one slice of bread by the toaster, no juice in the dispenser. All had to be requested separately as I only came across each issue as I reached it and surprisingly there were staff about had they been more observant or even interested. No one was over seeing the "buffet" which is strange at a buffet breakfast. On finally getting seated there were no condiments on the table and I had to ask another diner where the cutlery was. It turned out to be at the opposite end of the bar from the food,maybe 30 yards away. Napkins would also have been a help,but by this time I'd "lost the will". The breakfast was cold,the eggs hard and the recently topped up bacon,although lean was dry, overcooked and warm at best. Nobody came near with any help at any time. Everything was reactive,nothing proactive. On the basis of the ineffectiveness of the staff a complaint seemed pointless especially as the bedroom was wonderful and we were only on a one night stay. I had a career in catering and ,I suppose,like a lot of people, have stayed in many hotels. Roomwise,this is one of the best and full credit to the housekeeping and reception staff. The breakfast definately needs attention both in food and service. Would I stay again. Definately but needless to say,on a room only basis.
