We travelle to Bedruthan to take advantage of their Sunday stay offer. We arrived to a most fantastic and tasty roast dinner of beef and pork. We travelle to Bedruthan to take advantage of their Sunday stay offer. We arrived to a most fantastic and tasty roast dinner of beef and pork. We made use of the spa following that, sat in a hydro pool with fantastic views of the north Cornish coast. Slept in a massively comfortable bed again with stunning views of Mawgan Porth, drinking a decent coffee in our room along with seriously tasty homemade hobnob biscuits. Breakfast was simply amazing. All made on site. I’ve stayed in many many hotels and this was probably the best breakfast offering I’ve had. Just excellent. Staff so friendly and helpful. A young New Zealander heading up the front of house team called Chance. Absolutely brilliant at his job. On the front desk we had Hannah and Beth, both superb. Staff a real credit to the hotel. We will without question be back.

The hotel and staff are lovely and once inside feels very modern and comfortable. We upgraded to a sea view and were so glad we did - the views were stunning, especially as you could view them as you had a shower! The hotel and staff are lovely and once inside feels very modern and comfortable. We upgraded to a sea view and were so glad we did - the views were stunning, especially as you could view them as you had a shower! The Spa was really nice and we were able to swim, have a sauna and Jacuzzi, we also had our very first massages which were great. The Spa is a real asset to the Hotel. Unfortunately we felt the stay was spoilt by our experience in the Ogo restaurant. Initially everything was fine, but the service soon tailed off. We were recommended a particular wine which we went with. At the end of the meal we were presented with the bill, we had been charge £47 for the bottle of wine. We hadn't been given a wine menu so assumed it would be the house wine at a reasonable cost. We don't drink much so this was annoying. Then we were told that 17% gratuities had been added and we were expected to pay there and then at the table - not at reception when we check out which we would normally do. This really put us on the spot and we felt really uncomfortable. Breakfast was amazing, such a good choice, and once again with stunning views. It's such a shame that our experience at the Ogo was not good and left a 'taint' on our memories. Incidentally we do stay in this type of hotel regularly so we are experienced in this 'boutique' type break.
