“Very good”

pre visit was very well done and whilst there the service was very good. The rooms were excellent and the food very good. The only disappointment was I booked the conservatory for our last evening meal but on the day was moved out to the dining room.

The grounds are beautiful. I wasn’t able to use the leisure facilities on this trip but I would definitely recommend this hotel and will be staying for my next business trip for sure. Great find.

“Exceptional 3* hotel with 4* service”

Wow what a fabulous find the Elfordleigh Hotel was for us! Ranks with one of the best hotels we have stayed in. Booked for three nights B&B which gave a special rate of 20% off the price (which was very reasonable anyway). We usually stay in 4* hotels so weren't sure what to expect here as has a 3* rating. We were not disappointed however. We were greeted so warmly by a very friendly receptionist who explained everything about the hotel and where we could find the leisure facilities, restaurant and bar. We took the lift up to the first floor and stayed in room 25 - a premier room. Lovely spacious room with very comfy King size bed (two singles zipped together). Pleasant outlook over the golf course. Large bathroom with equally large walk in shower cubicle. Large wardrobe - but could do with more hangers really as only 6 available (just a suggestion not a complaint). Ironing board, iron and floor standing fan housed in the wardrobe. Hairdryer in drawer. Tea and coffee making facilities which were topped up every day. Radiator in room plus a fireplace with electric heater if needed. No air conditioning but wasn't needed. For two evenings we ate in the Bar area - same menu as in the restaurant. Portions very generous and reasonable price. Staff very friendly and pleasant. Breakfast served in the restaurant and conservatory. Help yourself to cereals, fruit, yoghurts, toast, croissants. Tea or coffee brought to the table by waitress and hot food cooked to order - again the portions were very generous and it was so nice to actually have HOT food! The waiting staff were also all very pleasant and friendly. We used the leisure facilities - pool lovely and warm - had one lane closed off specifically for children. Two jacuzzis at each end of the pool, a steam room and sauna. All very clean including the changing rooms. Good facilities in the changing rooms with showers including body wash and shampoo plus hairdrying facilities. Lockers with keycodes. We had such an enjoyable stay here - the hotel was quiet, the staff were so lovely, the food fabulous - we didn't want to leave! We would thoroughly recommend a stay here and will definitely be going back as soon as possible! Thank you to everyone for giving us such a wonderful stay.

We stayed at the hotel for a family wedding and were really happy with the decision. We had a superior double room which was huge. The room has a large, 4-poster bed, seating and classically styled decor along with a large shower and jacuzzi style bath. Overlooking a beautifully manicured golf course, it was beautiful. The hotel itself has a spa, pool and large bar with outdoor seating. Bar prices were reasonable. Meals are served in a cosy clean and bright room. The whole place was clean and well kept. Staff were friendly, professional and helpful. Breakfast had a good choice of hot and cold selections all cooked well and tasted very nice. Overall it was a marvellous hotel and we would definitely stay again.
