wow wow wow Kings Head is absolutely fabulous, on arriving was greeted by Lucy with big friendly smile explaining everything, she gave us our key to cottage number 6, the cottage was spacious immaculately clean and décor was really lovely colour combo, its the little things when you go to a hotel that makes it tip top, and this was no exception you had everything one would need, the bed was so so comfortable, that you just didn't want to get up lol.. we had dinner which Lucky kindly booked us a table when we arrived, we were in what they call the snug, was delightful, very tastefully decorated service was extremely good wish I could remember the young waiters name who served us he was very polite and attentive, food was excellent and plentiful.. same with the breakfast had a good choice and food again was delicious, so nice to see a dry plate not one spec of oil on the plate perfect.. We had the most amazing stay even if it was for just 1 night, the staff at this hotel were wonderful, this little gem of a place is fantastic I would recommend a stay here you wont be disappointed.. would we go back YES in a heartbeat... so Thank you to all the staff and the owners of having such a gorgeous establishment... good value for money without a doubt...last but not least its very peaceful all we could hear was the twitter of the birds bliss

This is about the fourth or fifth time I've stayed at the King's Head, and I'm sure to be back because from check-in to check-out, I always have a great stay. This is about the fourth or fifth time I've stayed at the King's Head, and I'm sure to be back because from check-in to check-out, I always have a great stay. It's located at the top of Rye Hill, with Rye town is just a short stroll away, down the hill. The staff are so friendly and polite, I was able to do a late check-in this time after having a nightmare journey with the trains and it was easy and quick to check in, and I was so grateful to get to my room and my super-comfy bed. Breakfast was well cooked and presented, and you can tell they use quality ingredients, service was quick and efficient. I was staying in one of the cottages this time, and the WiFi connection was really good, no problems at all for me to do my remote work in peace and quiet, and I had a comfy table and stool to work from. Being in one of the cottages, you're set back a bit from the road, so it gives you a feeling of seclusion and peace. In the evening, they were holding their popular monthly quiz night, but they still managed to squeeze me in for dinner with no reservation. It's such a genial atmosphere in the bar, a great spot to have dinner and unwind. And just like breakfast, my dinner was full of quality ingredients cooked to perfection. I really enjoy coming here, Rye is a great place to be and the King's Head such a nice place to stay.

Does the job, large bed, nice towels and friendly staff. Furniture and fittings a bit tired in our room the other side of the car park. Breakfast adequate range of hot and cold options. Bread disappointing Wonderloaf wholemeal.
