“Hidden gem”

Very welcoming and friendly, attention to detail was fantastic. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, room was comfortable and clean. Tea/coffee making facilities were a nice extra touch, as were the toiletries in the bathroom. Located on a one-way street, close to the esplanade and shops of Ramshill. Parking can be an issue sometimes, but that's a Scarborough problem, not this fab B&B. Happy to return and would definitely recommend.

Lovely old character property convenient for the cliff lift access to the beach. The room was nicely decorated and well equipped however, there was dust on the bed headboard and on the dado rail. Lovely old character property convenient for the cliff lift access to the beach. The room was nicely decorated and well equipped however, there was dust on the bed headboard and on the dado rail. The ensuite shower room was clean but compact. Fine for us, but larger guests might have problems sitting on the toilet as it's very close to the wall on one side and wash basin on the other. Overall not too bad apart from the breakfast! Good variety of breakfast choices. The fruit salad, granola and Greek yogurt was very nice however, the cooked part of the breakfast let it down. Poached eggs on sourdough with smashed avocado should be a treat but on the first morning there were hard lumps of unripe avocado and the poached egg and toast were cold. Thought that might be a one off so had it again on day 2. The avocado was better but egg was still barely room temperature and cold toast. Day 3 I had the cooked breakfast, which was barely warm and not helped by cold plates! I asked for scrambled eggs and what I received resembled a thin omelette. Day 4, I gave up on the cooked breakfast and just had the fruit and cereal with toast(cold) and jam to follow. We would have returned next year if the food had been better however, we've booked a self catering apartment instead. More expensive but you get what you pay for!
