My partner and I were booked in for Sunday lunch in the main restaurant in the White Horse, Romsey for 2 pm on Sunday, 4th January. We have always had excellent meals at the White Horse but my lunch on the 4th January was spectacular! I chose the beef and ascertained that it was rare and it was. It looked fabulous on my plate but the taste was delicious and, in fact, was the best roast beef I've had in a long, long time. I asked the waitress to pass on my thanks to the chef which she did and when I asked his name she told me it was Tim. I hope she let Tim know how very much I and my partner enjoyed the entire meal (he opted for fish and chips which he said was perfectly cooked and the chips were perfect) as it was first class. I meant to write earlier but events overtook me this past week so I hope it's not too late to thank Tim again and say I'm looking forward to returning soon. Jeanette Ryder, Romsey

We stayed at this wonderful hotel on New Year’s Eve. The entire experience was absolutely fantastic! The meal was delicious and two helpers throughout, Andy and Suzanna were friendly, professional, polite and so kind. The evening dancing and the singer was phenomenal. Our room was stunning and so comfortable. The hotel is so characterful and the location is also perfect. Thank you so very much and we will be back without a doubt. 🤩

“Lovely lunch and afternoon with family”

I went with my Family for lunch this weekend. We were all super impressed with the food, service and lovely atmosphere in the hotel. We have been a few times and never disappointed! We will definitely be visiting again soon. I would defiantly recommend the beef shin dish it was lovely!

very nice rooms with all mod cons,however very slow and inattentive lunch service 30 min wait for starters - another 30 mins for mains which had to be chased. staff are nice but don’t appear to be trained well. Expensive food for what it is. Gravy extremely salty.
