Stayed one night whilst bathroom was being renovated. Helpful and friendly reception. Clean and modern room with a great view of the airport runways. No noise. Had some bar food in the restaurant and pleasantly surprised. Attentive bar and waiting staff and the food was delicious. Especially the crispy chicken wings. Will be back with family to eat again. Didn’t have time for breakfast unfortunately but overall a fantastic stay. Cheers Rob.

Thank you so much to all involved in planning our special day 🩷 From the moment we booked we knew we’d made the right decision. Having a twilight wedding was just perfect, all the staff especially Hayley and Zusanna made everything happen just how we had planned in our heads. The reception staff, bar staff and the restaurant staff were all very attentive to our needs and nothing was too much bother. We go to Southend once a year and have always stayed at a hotel on the seafront which has always been excellent, but this year we noticed their price had risen quite dramatically, so we looked around and decided on the Holiday Inn, which was nearly half the price. It turned out to be the right choice. We stayed for four nights in a standard room, which was large, clean, and comfortable. We ate in the hotel restaurant where the food portions were good and cooked to perfection, we also drank in the bar which was very reasonably priced for an airport hotel, and the service was excellent in both. The buffet breakfast was also first class. The reception, bar/restaurant, and housekeeping staff in the hotel were friendly, polite, and helpful, When we came to checkout, our total bill was £300 less than it would have been in our usual hotel just for bed and breakfast. Although the hotel is right next to the airport, our room was silent. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

I left an item in the room and discovered this while I was away, I emailed reception and they called me back saying they had found the item and would hold it for me until I… lisää

Stayed here prior to a morning flight to Turkey with work. Hotel was clean and comfortable with room being spotless and quiet. I left an item in the room and discovered this while I was away, I emailed reception and they called me back saying they had found the item and would hold it for me until I got back which was great. I collected it late on evening and it was there ready to go no searching around in the back or scratching of heads. All the staff were pleasant and helpful, I’ll be using this hotel again when I next fly from Southend.
