We celebrated our wedding at The Guild Chapel followed by our reception at The Arden Hotel, Stratford-Upon-Avon. With the help of Slava The Arden Hotel’s events planner, our celebrations started the evening before the wedding with a drinks reception in the Swan Room. Many of our guests stayed at the hotel and were delighted with the accommodation and service they received. The Champagne reception in The Terrace Suite followed by the wedding breakfast in The Brooke Suite were exquisitely arranged and served without delay. Alison the hotel florist produced magnificent floral displays for both the Chapel and the hotel. This was a wedding celebration to remember and we would have no hesitation in highly recommending this venue to anyone wishing to marry in Stratford-Upon-Avon. Fabulous!

“A good choice if proximity to the RSC theatres is important.”

Location is perfect for anyone seeing a production at the RSC, or walking down the river Avon. It has a small car park behind the hotel, which is charged at £10 per night. Location is perfect for anyone seeing a production at the RSC, or walking down the river Avon. It has a small car park behind the hotel, which is charged at £10 per night. The rate quoted when we booked was different to the rate sent to us by email the week before our arrival, and their system mixes up forenames and surnames too, so beware of user or tech glitches. Slightly awkward check-in when my husband was asked if he had booked a separate room. The hotel boasts a 2010 refurbishment, but perhaps the original build quality lets the side down. If you are staying on the ground floor, expect to hear every step of those staying above you, and the morning chorus with ill-fitting windows. That said, some nice touches in the room (including a copy of the local paper) and the place was clean and tidy. Breakfast was well done, and check out was efficient.

“Disappointing visit”

Third visit and very disappointed with the state of the hotel it needs a general update with some of the furniture especially in the restaurant chipped tables Staines on cushions of chairs walls marked . We did the theatre package and had to eat at 5.15pm which was far too early the last time we were able to split the meal which meant we could eat later. Breakfast also very disappointing ordered the haddock and poached eggs which was the smallest piece of haddock I’ve ever had in a restaurant.Some of the staff did not want to be there although reception staff very helpful don’t like the fact service charge is added for drinks on the terrace but there is no service you have to go to the bar and order like a pub!! Such a shame I really liked this hotel but don’t think I’ll be returning any time soon
