Absolutely gorgeous building and area. Plentiful easy parking - just enter reg on check in. Great helpful polite staff, from reception to dinner to breakfast. Absolutely gorgeous building and area. Plentiful easy parking - just enter reg on check in. Great helpful polite staff, from reception to dinner to breakfast. Delicious food and great choice at breakfast. Small room with smaller bathroom - but perfectly fine for 1 night. Room 12 west wing - the heating/radiator/pipes make a dreadful loud humming, goes off at 9pm thankfully but does come back on at 6am (despite staff saying 7am) - not ideal if you value a lie in!

“Peaceful & Relaxing”

Walworth Castle is a haven of peace & tranquillity, well worth the two hour drive on the A1M in the rain. We stayed in room 19 with the four poster bed overlooking the front of the castle. We tried Walworth Castle as the owners had just bought the Mallyan Spout Hotel in Goathland so we wanted to compare the two and it did not disappoint. The main communal areas have been renovated to a very high standard so once all the rooms are done the castle will be exceptional. We don't normally leave reviews so you can tell how much of an impression the castle and staff made on us (in a good way).

“Fab Family Lunch”

My wife and I went for lunch with my parents and were very pleasantly surprised with the quality and value of the meal. My wife and I went for lunch with my parents and were very pleasantly surprised with the quality and value of the meal. We had always enjoyed to visit the castle however for a number of years they ceased to do a lunch menu. Without doubt we intend to return for future lunches, the atmosphere is great and the staff are wonderful. The portion size , quality and price simply cannot be faulted, highly recommend. It is worth noting that for such a nice hotel the drinks were competitively priced and we thoroughly enjoyed a bottle of Châteauneuf-du-Pape with our beef and stout casserole with cheese dumplings.

“Princess treatment for little ones!”

Had a magical day! From the start the staff were attentive, polite and attentive, even offering coffees when we arrived despite us being early. We had a small child with us and the staff went above and beyond to make her feel like a princess, going out of their way to ensure she was catered for and doted on. The rooms were all clean and it was evident they had also ensured the rooms were child friendly. The food was delicious and the staff were attentive throughout our meal.
