Where do I even begin with Whitworth Hall… because the truth is, I genuinely have NO words for how incredible they were. From the very start of our wedding journey to the very last moment of our day, they didn’t just give us a venue, they gave us an experience that was seamless, magical, and quite literally perfect. From helping us source suppliers before the wedding to guiding us every step of the way, the team made everything feel so easy and stress-free. We always felt completely looked after, and that level of care meant the world to us. But what truly makes Whitworth Hall so special is the people. The staff are simply indescribable, kind, warm, attentive, and so genuinely invested in making your day everything you’ve dreamed of and more. It wasn’t just the big things they did .. it was the small details that meant the most. From setting up our honeymoon suite so beautifully, to helping carry my dress, to ensuring my husband and I had precious moments together, to making sure the entire day ran so seamlessly - they were there for us every step of the way. Rachelle, Matthew, and Sarah - our INCREDIBLE managers! They all became so much more than part of the venue team. They truly became part of our wedding family🥹 Their support and care meant so much to us, they went above and beyond in EVERY way. So much so that we even did a first look with them, and that moment is something we will treasure forever. And then there is Ben, our Master of Ceremonies… seriously, he deserves an award! His energy, organisation, and presence were outstanding. He kept everything running perfectly while bringing so much fun and personality to the day. We genuinely have no words for how incredible he is. And we can’t forget the amazing bar staff.. Aaron, Chloe, and so many more. They were fantastic, creating custom-made drinks that our guests absolutely loved and adding such a fun, personal touch to the celebration. What stands out the most is how much they genuinely cared. They didn’t just work our wedding, they became part of it. The extra thought and detail they put into everything honestly makes me tear up every time I think about it. Every single one of our guests commented on the venue and the team, and that alone speaks volumes✨ Whitworth Hall will always hold such a special place in our hearts. To any couple considering this venue, you are not just booking a beautiful place, you are choosing a team who will care about your day as much as you do. Other couples truly need to experience what we experienced. Thank you for giving us the most perfect day. We will be forever grateful. 💕

“Excellent all around”

Stayed here for the night of my friend's wedding. Lovely staff, a very charismatic Master of Ceremonies, good food and drink, and the rooms were spacious with very comfortable beds. The deer were very cute, as well.

I am not even sure to start with this review. Our journey with the apartment group started with Jamie and he was absolutely wonderful. I am not even sure to start with this review. Our journey with the apartment group started with Jamie and he was absolutely wonderful. He sorted us out with our package and date and gave a brilliant first impression. Following this we hit quite a few (rather big) snags which I’m not going to get in to. Jamie kept some communication with us which he did not have to at this point, but because we already had met and spoken with Jamie, it was very much appreciated that he took the time to continue to speak with me. We were allocated a wedding coordinator who we did not have a lot of communication with and following some further issues, Rachelle the manager and whitworth made contact with us. She was absolutely superb and is worth her weight in gold. If it wasn’t for her, then this would be a very very different review. From first contact she called us as opposed to email so we could talk through things. She then took over as our wedding coordinator which we couldn’t be more thankful for. Throughout the whole process she went above and beyond to ensure that we were happy and that our day went perfectly. She did a lot of extra, personable things that she did not have to, to ensure that our day went as perfect as it could be. She is an absolute asset to the apartment group. Ben, our master of ceremonies also went above and beyond and really made our day memorable. We are blessed that he was there to share the day with us (and the kids also LOVED him). Nothing was too much, and the next morning he even let us go out and feed the deer again. Sarah was fabulous on the interactions we had with her, and she even offered to drop off Craig’s suit that he left at our home to save us driving up to Whitworth again. Aside from our experiences, everyone was talking about how helpful, caring and lovely the staff were on check in. We also had a lot of comments about the how beautiful the food was and the drinks were lovely too. Rachelle even got us Tabasco to serve with our spicy margaritas for those who loved to ramp it up. Honestly, some of the staff genuinely felt like friends throughout the two days we spent there which made the whole process feel so much more special. Rachelle even made us a little video of the morning which was extra special. Thank you Jamie, Ben and most of all Rachelle! Hope to see you all again in the future.

“A wonderful but flawed hotel”

This hotel should have 5 stars. The hotel is like a lovely old mansion, the grounds and deer park are well maintained and excellent to explore. There was not one member of staff who was not above average and many were excellent. I felt very happy and welcome there. However during our two night stay… lisää

This hotel should have 5 stars. The hotel is like a lovely old mansion, the grounds and deer park are well maintained and excellent to explore. There was not one member of staff who was not above average and many were excellent. I felt very happy and welcome there. However during our two night stay our room was not serviced. This was due to an error with the check in system. There was no hot water for showers on the second day due to a maintenance issue, which also involved turning the water off some some people had no showers and the toilets didn’t flush. Food was often very good, the canapés were excellent, but the slow cooked pork had dried out. My wife wrote to the hotel manager but has yet to get a response. So I think the faults are down to management. A shame but easy to fix then the 5 star reviews will come
