“Fantastic spot for a short break in Winchester”
Lovely 2 night stay in a very comfortable room, great pub food including breakfast, and atmospheric bar. Very friendly and helpful staff. Located directly opposite the cathedral. Highly recommend

“Great food, accommodation and location”
Great pub, excellent food and a large bedroom. Just across the green from the cathedral. All in All a perfect accommodation in a perfect location. Highly recommend

“Great return visit”
We were two couples making a return visit for dinner. As ever the Old Vine was busy at early evening. The staff were very welcoming and notable among their service ethic was that despite being very busy in the restaurant areas, nobody was rushed. “Excellent service, superb food, great beer”
Excellent from start to finish. A friendly and informal welcome to a clearly marked table. Superb service, menus there immediately, prompt return to order, drinks and food came out on point, bill and payment done immediately on request. “Lovely food”
All 4 meals were delicious and served piping hot. The atmosphere and wine good. The only reason for not giving 5 stars... At 10.50 returned from the loo, was told you were closing and my drink was gone! I'd only had 2 sips! Please give us time to drink the drinks!
