“Fabulous 2 night stay”

Absolutely amazing location 5 mins from Lake Windermere, a short walk to the local pubs and resteraunts, lovely hotel with fabulous staff, very clean and welcoming, breakfast was lovely and had something for everyone, would stay again and will be recommending to friends and family x

The hotel stay was a birthday gift it also included Afternoon Tea at the Fizzy Tarte. The hotel is in a good location with parking to the front & rear of the hotel. It’s only a short walk to all the shops bars and restaurants in Bowness . The hotel was spotless the rooms were a good size with comfortable beds, we were in a superior room our room also had a mini bar and all rooms have large flat screen TVs. All the staff were friendly and the breakfast was also very good. Breakfast had all the usual tea coffee, cereal ,fresh fruit toast , then full Cumbrian breakfast along side other choices hot breakfast. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again when we next visit the lakes.

I booked this last minute on Friday for a 1 night stay, From ringing up and booking to leaving it was unbelievable, We booked the hideout it's a 10 minute walk to main hotel and 2 mins walk into Bowness we live 20 mins away from lake district so take it a bit for granted but it's most beautiful place in the country, I didn't tell my other half where we we're going we found the hideout easy enough has it's own parking space round the back, My wife said when we pulled up what's this a flat and it doesn't look appealing to you enter, Then her face changed and mine, The hideout is set over 3 floors, Top floor is massive open living area with a balcony and huge kitchen with everything you need all fixtures and fittings are top draw mood lighting throughout the whole place, 2nd floor where u walk in has massive bedroom comfy bed, Shower and toilet then it's a spiral staircase down to what we named it cinema room, Huge jetpool jacuzzi bath with lighting, Massive rainfall walk in shower, Huge TV well over 150inch and a drilling bar area to make cocktails with fridge and everything you need which included bottles of coke,lemonade,water,tonic water,Cocktails,Gin, Vodka, Bacardi, Big fluffy towels the place was spotless throughout we look forward to returning, We both said we could live there if only 😀 Honestly go book this place absolute gem in the heart of the lake district with staff that provide top service, Thank you The Cranleigh 👏

“Disappointing”

We arrived on the Saturday to surprise my cousin for his 40th, we did have a late night but we were up the next morning for breakfast. We asked the ladies in the breakfast room what time checkout was and she said 12 o’clock, so we went back to our room. I had a little lie down and we got showered … lisää

We arrived on the Saturday to surprise my cousin for his 40th, we did have a late night but we were up the next morning for breakfast. We asked the ladies in the breakfast room what time checkout was and she said 12 o’clock, so we went back to our room. I had a little lie down and we got showered ready for 12 checkout. At 11:30 we had a phone call from reception to say check out was 11 o’clock. We explained that we’d asked in the breakfast room and was informed it was 12. We were then slapped with a £25 late checkout charge. I feel this is very unreasonable. It was a genuine mistake. I think they should inform all their staff on check-in checkout times anything relevant to the hotel. Safe to say We won’t be returning!
