“Amazing in every way”
Very cosy hotel with the friendliest staff! They went out of their way to make sure our stay was the best! We love the effort put into preserving this beautiful piece of history.

“Historic jewel hotel with friendly service”
We were amazed to sleep in a 561-year-old hotel! With beautiful original Tudor timbered beams. Our room was neat, the sheets were crisp, and the towels ultra-clean. “Haunted House”
Such a wonderful hotel. It's situated in the centre of Colchester and looks impressive from the outside. Stepping inside you are transported back five hundred years. The place is beautiful.
