Fabulous place to stay, well decorated, large room (Swan) with fantastic view of the estuary and lovely new bathroom (loved the shower!). Ella is a great host and serves an amazing breakfast. There is even a well stocked honesty bar. The location is a short walk into town. To access the hotel, you drive up a very access. Highly recommended.

“A room with a view in Looe”

Everything about this hotel is perfect. Set on a slight hill with access from the main road and directly across the road from the train station. Adequate car spaces for the 5 room guests within the hotel grounds. We stayed in a ground floor spacious and very clean room with picture postcard… lisää

Everything about this hotel is perfect. Set on a slight hill with access from the main road and directly across the road from the train station. Adequate car spaces for the 5 room guests within the hotel grounds. We stayed in a ground floor spacious and very clean room with picture postcard views of the estuary. Within the room are tea & coffee making facilities, a fridge, and biscuits, milk and bottles of water which were replenished daily. Ella the owner is the perfect host who serves a plentiful breakfast sourced from local suppliers. Would definitely return !

The absolute perfect place for a Cornish getaway. Great location, bus stop nearby if you fancy a trip to Polperro ~ £3 one way, highly recommend visiting. The absolute perfect place for a Cornish getaway. Great location, bus stop nearby if you fancy a trip to Polperro ~ £3 one way, highly recommend visiting. Train station opposite with connections to Truro. But the highlight of our stay was our hostess, Ella. She simply could not do enough for us to make our stay wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble and she thought of everything that might make our break even better. The rooms were amazing with lake views, tea and coffee with fresh milk, lovely powerful shower and best of all, absolutely fantastic breakfasts. Locally sourced products perfectly cooked and the eggs had the most golden yolk I had ever seen! Lots of choice on the menu, it was a shame we weren't there long enough to try everything. One thing to bear in mind is that the satnav took us around the back of the hotel up a steep, winding,narrow track. We have a big car and it was touch and go getting back down without scratching the car. The hotel entrance is just off the main road with plenty of parking.

I spent a long weekend (four nights) at Trehaven Manor in mid-June 2026. The house has been beautifully restored and tastefully decorated in historic spirit. The location is central but at the same time quiet on a hillside above the street. The public sitting areas are spacious and comfortable, which is essential in Cornwall's unpredictable climate. The breakfast was excellent and the service friendly and helpful. The outdoor plantings were beautiful and well-kept, but the furniture was few and modest, the seats dirty and the most beautiful viewpoint was reserved for car parking. The first impression was also reduced a little upon arrival by the cold and damp hotel room. There was also a smell of harmful microbial growth in some places in the indoor air. The heating was clearly aimed at saving, and its drying effect has not been taken into account. The curtains in the room were also moldy, but they were replaced with clean ones immediately as soon as it was pointed out. A solo traveler was always seated at the worst corner table in the breakfast room, while the better tables were reserved for couples which I suppose was unintentional but finger pointing at solo travelers. Jag tillbringade en långhelg (fyra nätter) på Trehaven Manor i mitten av juni 2026. Huset har blivit vackert restaurerat och smakfullt inrett i historisk anda. Läget är centralt men samtidigt lugnt på en sluttning ovanför gatan. De allmänna sittplatserna är rymliga och bekväma, vilket är viktigt i Cornwalls oförutsägbara klimat. Frukosten var utmärkt och servicen vänlig och hjälpsam. Utomhusplanteringarna var vackra och välskötta, men möblerna var få och enkla, sittplatserna smutsiga och den vackraste utsiktspunkten var reserverad för parkering. Det första intrycket dämpades också något vid ankomsten av det kalla och fuktiga hotellrummet. Det fanns också en lukt av skadlig mikrobiell tillväxt på vissa ställen i inomhusluften. Uppvärmningen var tydligt inriktad på att spara, och dess uttorkande effekt har inte tagits med i beräkningen. Gardinerna i rummet var också mögliga, men de ersattes med rena omedelbart så snart det påpekades. En ensamresande satt alltid vid det sämsta hörnbordet i frukostrummet, medan de bättre borden var reserverade för par, vilket jag antar var oavsiktligt men en pekfingring mot ensamresande.
