Just spent 4 very comfortable nights here. We live in the local area but having work done at home so decided to decamp to a quieter venue. We had a room on the ground floor on the car park side of the hotel. Room was spacious with a good bathroom and excellent shower. Despite being very busy, we heard very little internal noise and the nights were very peaceful. Air con was good in the room. Staff were good and helpful. All of the staff greeted you as you passed. Housekeeping was excellent throughout our stay. Breakfast was good. Relatively good selection of hot and cold items. Restaurant was clean and tidy and used plates removed during breakfast according to which staff were present. Some staff more vigilant than others. We had dinner on 1 evening which again was very good. Not a huge menu but adequate for a longer stay. Generally, would definitely stay here again without hesitation.

Have stayed at this hotel a few times over the years with work. It's comfortable, clean, and location is great for links to M4. It's buffet breakfast is also good. What makes the hotel for me is the team, especially Keith. I have not stayed in about a year, but when I arrived at reception, Keith recognised and welcomed me like we'd spoken the day before. He is always friendly, as all the team are, and just has a great way with people.

Conveniently located outside the Welsh town of Newport in a quiet industrial suburb. Good parking. The staff at this busy hotel were very cheerful, helpful and friendly. Our room was ready when we arrived and it was clean and tidy. The white bed linen was crisp and clean. The shower and lavatory area was also spotlessly clean. On two evenings, we ate a light supper and had drinks at the bar with friends who were also staying at the hotel over the weekend. The menu was simple and adequate with vegetarian and vegan options should you be of that persuasion. There was a pleasant lounging area which we used, Althogh we also sat in the dining area for drinks one evening. The other guests that we encountered were friendly and pleasant both in the evening and at breakfast. The breakfast area was well thought out and although quite busy on Sunday morning, there was adequate seating. The buffet breakfast was hot, properly cooked and had plenty of choice. All in all we were very happy with our three night stay and felt we were well looked after by the friendly and professional staff. I can certainly recommend this economically priced hotel and would certainly stay there again.

There for one night prior to work in Cardiff. Cost me £60 inc breakfast which was a good deal. A very warm welcome from the lady on the desk, and plenty of free parking so off to a good start. There for one night prior to work in Cardiff. Cost me £60 inc breakfast which was a good deal. A very warm welcome from the lady on the desk, and plenty of free parking so off to a good start. The room was very large, the bathroom good and the bed comfortable. I slept well. Breakfast was a bit hit-n-miss, excellent sausages (much better than the usual caterer's meat tube) but I think the scrambled egg was powdered egg. If someone from the hotel reads this, the toilet cistern in room 233 was leaking continuously into the pan. Not much, but enough to waste 100s of litres a day. And this is happening in just about every hotel room I stay in. No wonder there's not enough water, it's all going down hotel toilets.
