The staff were lovely although the check in was lengthy however I decided to get my nails done at the spa to treat myself, I was really nervous to go because i’ve never had them done before. The lady that treated me was so amazingly lovely! I struggle with ADHD and she was sharing her experiences with me and really made me feel seen. I don’t remember her name but she was a pretty, young blonde lady and she was just so lovely. She really deserves a good review and such recognition, she absolutely made my week xx

“Room 2 not the suite I’d hoped for :-(”

We stayed in Room 2 last night, the room and facilities were unfortunately not of the standard we would expect from a 4-star hotel. Firstly, the carpets in the room were extremely dirty, and I was genuinely grateful for the complimentary slippers so my feet did not have to touch them. In addition, the furniture throughout the room was very tired and in need of updating. There was also a broken mirror in the bathroom, and the toilet seat was very loose and wonky. The outside area attached to our room was also far from inviting and appeared quite dirty. In the afternoon we used the outdoor spa area, which looked nothing like the photos advertised online. The area overall was unclean and in need of maintenance and updating. Most concerning was the outdoor hot tub — the water was filthy, with a visible scum ring around the edge. We got out almost immediately. It is especially disappointing as we travelled from Chichester to celebrate our 7-year anniversary, and had been looking forward to the stay. When checking out, I did raise these concerns with the receptionist, however she appeared uninterested and dismissive, I did email the hotel managed directly however they didn’t even acknowledge my email which is why I felt it necessary to write a review. Additionally, we had prepaid credit for dinner, yet we were initially charged for it again at checkout. It was only after I mentioned the prepaid credit that the receptionist acknowledged it. I felt it important to make you aware of our experience, as the condition of the room and spa facilities, along with the lack of customer care, fell well below expectations.

I’m not often one to leave reviews, but sitting here in an empty breakfast room calling through to the kitchen for someone to come and take my order, I felt obliged to. The hotel room is pleasant. It lacks power sockets for charging devices - particularly near the bed - but is otherwise perfectly fine. The reception staff are kind and attentive, and the gym facilities are excellent. What really lets this hotel down is the restaurant. The staff are slow, the Wi-Fi is hit and miss, and the food is extremely sad. I had the misfortune of eating dinner here for a quick evening meal. The food was oily and the produce poor. I suspect the chef has talent but is working with budget ingredients, likely frozen and inexpensive. Edamame beans turned out to be peas, and the sautéed vegetables were simply fried in a large amount of oil and salt. I wouldn’t stay again, but if you’re looking for a budget hotel or need access to a nice gym, it may still be worth considering.
