“Excellent hotel”
I rate the Albert Hotel very highly. I spent 5 days there with my wife in 2021 very happily exploring Orkney. My most recent visit was solo and for a funeral in the Cathedral. “A WONDERFUL, CLEAN, UPDATED GEM”
Simply wonderful hotel - centrally located, friendly helpful staff, too. Updated rooms boasting great lighting, showers, beautiful finishes all around - my room even had a mini-fridge! Yay.

“A nice hotel in Kirkwall”
We arrived late with the ferry from Aberdeen and checked in for 2 nights at Albert Hotel, which is ideally situated in the centre of Kirkwall. Tasty breakfast and friendly staff.

It's not a restaurant. Good place for a traditional Scottish meal in an authentic bar setting, accompanied with a nice selection of local beers. Try it at least once if staying for a few days in Kirkwall.

“Ok room staff need charm school”
Hotel clean and tidy enough. Woman on reception rather rude and abrupt on more than one occasion! For the money we paid, overpriced and low service! She let the whole place down!
